Went for lunch to celebrate my mother's birthday. Absolutely 5 stars for everything. We all got different meals (7 meals. Mine is the pic) and they were all huge meals and absolutely delicious. The lovely young lady behind the bar to the lovely ladies serving our food, they were absolutely fantastic. They couldn't help us enough as we had my disabled son with us, and they made us feel very comfortable, and nothing was ever a problem, service with a smile each and every time. Definitely be going back.

Having had counter lunches all over Australia, the Royal is in my opinion in the top handful for quality and value. Never had a meal that I didn’t enjoy. The Sunday special is always excellent, with a roast with 6 veggies for under $20. Real home cooking.

Wow,the Langleys group of friends had lunch on Sunday.Roast lamb and 9 vegies and gravy $16.50. Absolutely fantastic meal.miss a slice of bread to mop up the gravy but couldn't fault the tasty meal.Thank you for your hospitality. See you for round 2 in October. Keep up the great work. The real crumbed large chicken schnitzel was well cooked, crisp and fresh, topped with a tasty tomato sauce and a large rasher of grilled bacon and plenty of melted cheese. Chips were crisp, hot and smelled of fresh oil. The salad was fresh, large wedges of ripe tomatoes, shredded beetroot, carrot, bright green soft leafed lettuce, crumbled feta cheese, well flavoured vinaigrette. A large plate served in a timely manner by friendly helpful wait staff.
The crumbed cutlets were massive, cooked to perfection, juicy tender and served with the above chips and salad. Really lovely meal too large to manage. Highly recommend this no fuss tasty well cooked and presented honest classic pub dinner.
They have an open fire in winter.
Free close onstreet parking. Eat on the verandah or in the beer garden out back.
Great value for money, served on large plates, old fashioned service in an historic old pub.
