This place deserves 100 stars! Sandy you were amazing and the whole camp-site was just so well set up. There was a portable toilet set up in the middle and there are showers in the picnic area. Added bonus was watching the helicopters come in over the air strip. I'll be coming back for one of those beautiful lodges you've built! I would highly recommend to anyone. I took my little kia picanto and it's fully accessible all the way! Keep up the good work Sandy I'll see you soon!

Wow, what a piece of paradise. We stayed in the safari tents and it was absolutely spectacular! Our hosts Dave and Sandy were amazing and so passionate about their beautiful property. There was something to do every day. It was definitely bush camping but 5 star all the way! Thanks so much Dave and Sandy, we'll be back in a few weeks! Xo

We were going to stay at lions Den hotel when I saw Rossville Retreat was only 3 minutes up the road! Enjoyed some dinner and entertainment at lions den (which had packed camping) but slept soundly and quietly at Rossville Retreat, perfect! Dave met us and was an absolute legend. Loved it so much we stayed another night. Great place to stay to do Bloomfield Track and also visit Cooktown. Annan River gorge is just down the road for a lovely dip. Highly recommend!

What an amazing place with incredible hosts! We stayed for 2 nights, and walked all round the property on well maintained walking tracks down to the creek. Great flat unpowered sites, can have camp fires and in a great location for exploring. Would return a hundred times over! Dave the host is so friendly and helpful and there's so much great work being done on the property with glamping pods being built and restoration being done after the cyclone. Awesome retreat!!

Rossville Retreat is a great place to camp. My family and friends camped there between Xmas and NY. The hosts were more than obliging. The sites were well maintained. Plenty of room for our 4 cars and our setup. About 2 ks from the Lions Den pub is convenient too. Even in the heavy monsoon rain our sites were not muddy. No risk of flooding. We highly recommend this camping area.👌👏👍👍

Stayed there on Saturday and meet by the larrikin Dave and his better half sandy, invited down the creek for Dave’s 50th and felt absolutely at home, (not like a visitor more like family) Will definitely be back. You guys have done so well and was absolutely amazing staying with u guys. Loved every minute of it

Fabulous place, highly recommend it. Beautiful private camp sites alongthe river which is gorgeous and really nice tent areas near the lagoon. Bush walking and fishing if you want to or just chill in the serenity. | The hosts Dave and Sandy are fantastic and really make you feel welcome.

Beautifully spot to camp and relax by the river, only short drive to lion's den hotel, great hosts and friendly atmosphere.
