The Rocks Motel was clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable. close to town, staff was accommodating and friendly. plenty of room to rest. Was quiet area, ample parking |Only one slight thing, the pool needed a clean. Shame restaurant was not open.|thank you

The hotel had neat and clean facilities. Downside, the restaurant, albeit not under control of the hotel, is not really reflective of the quality of the hotel. There are better places to eat in town, the RSL is a much better alternative! Friendly atmosphere and good selection of food.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the family room was a great size. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were nice and dark for sleeping and the artesian water is delightful. Unfortunately we found the staff to be rude, insulting, impatient and opinionated. After a long drive, at check in a request to use the facilities prior to completing our check in was refused and then we were not given adequate information about the facilities and amenities. It got worse. The amount of luggage we had was criticised, we were ridiculed when asking about the very strong, unpleasant odour in one of our rooms, and when we requested specific details on our receipt so it could be claimed, we were met with rudeness and absolutely no help. Great for a comfy sleep but don’t expect good service.

Very comfortable newish rooms. Lovely big bathroom and free guest laundry. Our only complaint was limited TV channels which was ok for only 2 nights. |We were able to check in an hour early which was appreciated. |There is an onsite restaurant, closed Sunday, which we didn’t use but the menu looked good.

Thought we'd treat the kids to a bit of relative luxury after camping in outback QLD in swags for 10 days. Facilties were great, rooms were great.

BUT

I really hope that the people we dealt with were just temporary caretakers because - holy shit - talk about crap service. Everything we asked about was an inconveniene to them.

Firstly rang them up to ask if they had a family room for the night,: "No I don't, love"... hangs up. Booked a room online 5 minutes later. My only conclusion was that she couldn't be bothered to take the booking over the phone.

Took the kids to the onsite pool, was instructed not to use the bathroom towels and to get pool towels from reception: "How many you want?" "4 please", "4!, have 2, you can share".

Later on, did some washing, old mate caretaker standing outside the laundry door: "Washing not done yet". Walked inside - washing done. Old mate grunts and walks away.

Bad service actually became funny after a while!

Excellent room , well appointed and a great location for all the fun activities and town In Charleville. We stayed in a family suite which was clean comfortable, well appointed, great shower and ok kitchenette for breakfast. Lovely stay although room slightly smaller than most other family suites we stayed in on our road trip it was big enough

Clean and modern rooms. Everything you would need from a road trip overnighter. The insects will drive you nuts but that's the outback.
