Was the most shi**est hotel I have ever stayed in was not clean at all. Open up a draw to dirty underwear and rubbish, there was blood on my sheets and the chair.tried to show the manager and got told the room was cleaned and accused us of doing it. After check in I had to go to the hospital and come back and waited for 45mins for someone to come open the front door to allow us up to the room.

The rooms are very dated and I feel sure that no fresh air has entered the room I stayed in since the windows were double glazed in perhaps 1980. It is very clean and the beds are comfortable, double glazing is also a necessity given the proximity to the highway with trucks constantly passing.||||The staff are very friendly and helpful when issues are raised, however, the restaurant is currently closed and only a continental breakfast is available. The towels are so thin that you could almost roll a cigarette in one.

Room:||Quiet and comfortable. Plenty of room including desk for working plus coffee table. Clean and functional - everything you need. It's an older place that has been well maintained/renovated. No issues with road noise even though I was in a room at the front of the building. Great views of the park across the road at sunsets. An unexpected highlight for Rocky which can be a bit of a dreary place to stay at times. Free Foxtel with premium channels (new release movies, etc).||||Service:||There was a friendly greeting by staff every day and all staff ready and willing to help with anything. Can't fault the service.||||Hotel Eating Options:||Restaurant pricey option for casual dining but seems popular for functions. If I was travelling with my wife I might have tried it, but dining alone is awkward in a near-empty restaurant. Breakfast is by room service only with order form due by 8pm nightly - I'm not usually organised enough to remember to fill in the form and hand it in at reception on time, and this trip was no exception. A bit pricey as well but I guess that's what you expect from a hotel breakfast. ||||Nearby eating options:||There is a decent service station convenience store almost next door for drinks, snacks, emergency groceries and decent hot food (by service station standards!). Thai Tahnee is a block away (decent sit-down or takeaway Thai restaurant). There's a cheap Chinese place only 50m away (turn right as you exit the front door) and a Maccas and Hungry Jacks 100m away in the same direction. Worth the short walk if you don't have very high standards!

I had the pleasure of staying at Rockhampton Plaza Hotel in Rockhampton QLD early this Month and I must say the Hotels service by the Hotel Manager Mr James was Fantastic comfortable Bed very neat very fast Wifi internet. This is my first review and I never thought I would be writing one but I was that impressed with how convenient it was. We arrived at 4:30am but the manager was available at that time to check us in. BRILLIANT hotel I would go back to everytime I'm in Rockhampton Qld

Do yourself a favor and goto another one |The place has had some parts of it updated but the carpets are old, rooms date to the 1980 s. Towels has stains on them bath is old and due for replacement 20 years ago restaurant closed for good id I'd say.

This family-run hotel is one of the best you can get in Rocky. The room is clean and comfortable.||||It is near to an array of F&B outlets along George Street such as Pacino's Italian Restaurant, Hong Kong Seafood Chinese Restaurant, Fishco Cafe (fish & chips), The Coffee Club, Hungry Jacks's, McDonald's, KFC, Red Rooster, Subway, Pizza Hut etc.

We only stayed one night and although it was a good location with friendly staff the motel is very dated. The elevator is very old and only one was working so we preferred to use the stairs. I certainly wouldnt want to be staying for a week.

This is a third rate motel, that is 50% overpriced. Run down and in need of renovation, its just not worth the asking price. Nothing was plugged in, second lift was out of action, restaurant closed and antiquated pin access to doors.Might have have been good 30 years ago, but no one has spent a cent on it since!
