Robin’s Nest is perfectly situated for accessing Cradle Mountain. The hosts Peter and Susie were helpful, and charming. We had the most fantastic breakfast each morning and dined with Peter and Susie one night - fantastic food and excellent value. Peter was very knowledgable about the local wildlife and even took us on a short night walk in their garden where we saw pademelons. The views of the Southern Hemisphere stars were amazing, particularly the Milky Way. Peter and Susie made us feel so welcome that we felt that we had known them for years. If you’re visiting the area don’t miss this lovely experience.

Absolutely loved our stay, couldn't fault the accommodation or the food. Made us an extra special meal at night as it was my birthday(extra cost but so worth it) and they even organized a night Wombat picnic at Cradle mountain for us all. (Extra cost). Cheese platter and wine,then a walk to see the wombats then into a hut for a wonderful hot meal,1 vegetarian and one meat,then to top it off Susie had made a wonderful cake for our wedding anniversary. Had a wonderful two night stay at Robin's Nest. Susie and Peter were fantastic hosts and extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. They were very generous with their time, cups of tea and happy to share recommendations.The room was very comfortable and warm and the optional dinners were great. We loved our time here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Robin's Nest to friends and family!

We spent two nights at Robin’s Nest when visiting Cradle Mountain this week. Perfectly located in beautiful country less than 40 minutes away from the crowded National Park. The room was spotlessly clean, cosy and very comfortable. What made this B&B so special was the commitment the hosts made to ensure their guests were comfortable and well informed about the area. We were provided with a lovely full breakfast each morning at a time that suited us and in the evenings a delicious two course evening meal was available for a reasonable price. A glass of wine was even included! To sit around a dinner table chatting over travel experiences was a very pleasant way to spend an hour or so in the evening. We highly recommend Robin’s Nest.

Robin’s Nest sits on a high corner with a gorgeous view to the west overlooking hills and pastures. An old Morris car adorns the entry to the drive. Our room had everything you might need or expect, and a nice choice of bedspreads and pillow cases. The bed was invitingly comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. You enter the dining room via the lounge, and everywhere you look are the most beautiful artefacts, china and knickknacks. The dining room is equally beautiful. On the sideboard was an array of in season fruit, muesli and cereal, and meanwhile our hosts took our orders for a cooked breakfast with espresso coffee and a range of teas, and fresh croissants. Our hosts were themselves ‘professional’ travelers, working their way around the world by managing BnBs like this one. They were super friendly, helpful and gave good advice in terms of local attractions to visit. We were on our way to Cradle Mountain to do the Dove Lake walk, and they gave us all the information we needed regarding Park entry and options. Highly recommended, and only 40 minutes away from the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre - we’d easily stay there again.

A really nice place with great hosts. The breakfast is wonderful. If you stay at robins nest see if Peter and Susie can provide their home cooked meals for dinner. Their food is great and they are great hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and the room had wonderful views. The location is perfect for all the local landmarks.|

Robin's Nest was the perfect place to base myself for three days of bushwalking in nearby Leven Canyon and Cradle Mountain National Park.||The room was very comfortable and the hosts very welcoming. Breakfasts were delicious and made for a great start to a strenuous day of walking.||A lovely sheltered porch in front of the rooms was an excellent place to relax with a cuppa each evening while watching the sun set over the spectacular valley views.||There's nowhere nearby for meals but this isn't a problem as Peter and Susie can sort you out for a meal at a small additional cost!

Such a beautiful area of Tasmania. We enjoyed our stay very much. So much to see within 30-45 mins of this. Nearby views of Mt Roland and the fields of green. The evening meals were excellent. Thanks Susie and Peter
