Amazing fish and chips! Found RJ’s based on a Google search and quick scan of positive reviews. We were not disappointed.
The staff were friendly and made sure to check our order to ensure everything was prepared to our preferences.
The Red Emperor was cooked to perfection and delicious (and decent sized fillets too. The calamari rings were expertly cooked (not like some other places that overcook it which turns it rubbery). This was probably the best calamari we’ve ever had.
The pineapple fritters were also great and the $10 serving of chips was super generous. Lastly our cheeseburger was awesome and a decent size too. Overall an excellent take-away experience. Would definitely recommend you check out RJ’s if you are in the area.

edit: the photo of the chips was AFTER we had fed four adults. There were heaps of chips. Very generous serving size.

We ordered 2 blue whiting & chips & 600ml drinks packs, 4 potato scallops, 6 calamari rings, & a large tartare sauce & lemon wedges for just over $40. It was all delicious!!! I'm a big eater & we were both fangin' hungry, but despite our best efforts we couldn't finish it all. We left about 3/4 of the chips, & I had to force myself to eat the last potato scallop & 2 calamari rings. Our 1st visit to RJ's will definitely not be our last. A big thank you to the 2 staff who took & served our order, & also to whoever did the cooking 👍🏻👍🏻

LOVE RJ’s! Been several times and each time it’s been tasty, fresh and good value.

Got the Burger with the Lot ($13) today, which was saucy and very delicious. It usually comes with pineapple but I got it without. Glad I didn’t get chips to accompany as it was massive!

I usually get their fish and chips which are great, pretty sure they batter their own fish as instead of the heavily battered, oil drenched fish at
other joints, RJ’s fish batter is light, crispy and not oily at all. Their chips are crunchy with the perfect amount of salt.

Would definitely recommend!

The best burgers !!! Well works burgers & chicken burgers as have had them both on many occasions & chips 😋
A definite place we go when have visitors aswell & all have enjoyed 😋

Very disappointed in the food. My kids chicken nuggets were like rubber and the calamari was obviously made from frozen. Would never eat here again

Ordered take away. I bought a nice piece of crumbed red emperor and they completely overcooked it. $13 and I couldn’t eat it at all. There is no phone number listed to call and complain. The service over all was good. Chips, gravy, thick shake and calamari were good too but the main part of my meal was very disappointing.

Excellent old school fish and chip shop right here. Perfect chips and scallops, cooked well every time you go, very tasty plain hamburgers, good sized pieces of fish and proper thickshakes. Great service and low prices.
