Lovely aesthetics with the swimming pools, BBQs, river and parkland blended together. The kids always enjoy watching a multitude of turtles coming to the edge of the river for a feed.

It's a nice place to go for a walk. Some good events are held here, for example Stable at Christmas and India Fest. Great public swimming pools, and they're FREE!

If you're going to an event, be early as parking can be a pain. I dropped off the old folks, parked over the road at Willows Shopping Centre and walked across. Needs more parking for disabled people at events, we couldn't get it even with the parking permit.

Well worth a visit if you are heading to the Mecca coffee shop for a coffee. Beautiful walk and a relaxing coffee at the end. Plenty to see and do here. From the arts complex to a swim in the pool. You can walk along the beautiful tracks and look at the gold fish and turtles feeding on the plants on the side of the river. You can feed them also I guess. It is not hard to find things to do in Townsville. Cheers big ears

What a great FREE outdoor pool located in the suburbs of Townsville. Where there is no 8ft fence surrounding it and people are trusted to be responsible for themselves. As it should be

Beautiful area. Old Raintrees, river. Lovely to just absorb nature in a safe, area good paths. Magnificent trees!
