Stopped here because the view was enticing.

There was a daily meal special that interested my partner so we ordered food, against my better judgment.

She had the steak special, which was just okay. The chips were far too salty and the steak, overcooked.

I had the bean nachos. Everything was from a can, clearly. Could hardly find any beans. For $20, there should have been an entire can of beans on them.

We ordered one of the cocktail specials. When it came out, it looked nothing like the photo, was much smaller, and in a different glass. And it tasted like detergent.

Scores of people showed up when we were leaving. I guess people love mediocre food…

I wanted to write to let you know how impressed I am by two of your staff in particular.
I am always grateful for the really great customer service and friendliness displayed by your staff on my regular visits to The Riv, but the incredibly positive attitude, enthusiasm, efficiency and warmth demonstrated by Evie and Katie (I asked their names on my last visit) has made a marked impression on me.
I have been involved in hospitality for the most part of the last 16 years, having owned and managed a bar in Brisbane for 8 years until recently, and I can say with experience, that I would have felt so fortunate to have had these two wonderful women working for me.
Please pass on my compliments and appreciation to Evie and Katie!

The location of this gorgeous local pub and restaurant is absolutely beautiful.
The staff are all so lovely and the food is delicious.
Drive through bottle shop, Wheel chair access, perfect place to take the children for lunch in the sunday best.
They even have cute drawing packs to keep the little people occupied.
Coffee yea thats yummy also and cheaper. Take away meals and drinks that river is very close the pics speak for themselves.

Go for a beer and a look cos the food won't meet your expectations.

Salmon was well done on one plate, not done on the other. Rocket leaves old on one plate, like if you were at home making this for yourself this would you put that on the plate?

Grilled chicken and prawns plate, chicken was dry and cut too thin, chips were salty and prawns were not even peeled? Why leave the poo strip and head on this.

Anyway each to there own, just letting whoever reads this know. But come on kitchen staff $32 dollars for this meals, rubbish!

The Riv Bar and Bistro is a great spot for amazing views and very good food. They have an excellent menu with plenty of choice, and the service is always friendly and swift. Perfect for lunch or dinner 😊

Stopped off for some lunch with the family. Great outlook and very friendly staff behind the bar and serving.

Food was generous and very tasty, with traditional Aussie meals on offer.

Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, with the constant Keno, loud music and sports going, and smoke drifted in from the smoking area at the front, so you might want to be inside.

Not a lot of parking and an easy-to-miss turn in to the car-park means it might be worth a walk in from the town.
