Hi Michelle and John||We wanted to say thank you again for your warm welcome and hospitality. Your farm stay is a perfect winter retreat. We enjoyed our stay very much. The cheese platter, sumptuous roast dinner and berry drizzled cheesecake were hearty and delicious. The open fire gave the sitting room a warm and cosy feel and the period accessories added to the ambience. And the bed was very comfy. Kind regards Peter and Denise

From our first phone enquiry to our departure a week or so later our experience could not be bettered. Michelle and John are wonderful hosts. The home cooked meal and special desert were superb. This century old farmhouse was well restored and decorated with all mod.cons. Could not be recommended too highly.||Based on several road-trips in the past few years River Glen tops the list for value.

This place is perfect for a rural retreat for a large family group. It has a separate bedroom with en suite in a cabin at the back. Other than that, there were 5 bedrooms available in the main house, together with the use of a kitchenette and a comfortable dining room. Both dinner and breakfast can be arranged in advance. Beds were comfortable. Although the owners did not have much notice of our arrival, we were provided with a delicious two-course dinner, plus some cheese and crackers to start with. There are some pretty walks on the property itself and also a variety of cute animals. The owners are a pleasure to deal with. Be aware - no credit cards: either cash or pre-pay by direct deposit.

The hosts are welcoming, and can provide the most delicious home-cooked meals. And the setting, near a wide section of the Severn River, is idyllic. We stayed with a large family group, and there was plenty of space for everyone.
