The rooms are modern and comfortable. I cannot say enough about the restaurant. I require gf and do not like to make a fuss about it but the staff were amazing. The chef was concerned about what I ordered. There would be cross contamination with the chips so the waiter came to me and offered an alternative option. He came back after my food was delivered to check that I was happy. I’m so impressed with the whole experience. 10/10

Amazing service and really cool staff. Food was incredible, I got the pork ribs, and the serving size was massive, tasted phenomenal. Staff even provided sweet chilli and sour cream on the house for the wedges it came with.

We have only been here twice and both times the service has been the best we have ever had from any restaurant/pub.

We had to come to Adelaide from Encounter Bay for medical appointments. The rooms,although small, are clean, modern and very comfortable.
The staff throughout the complex are friendly and helpful. The meals in the Bistro are delicious. Husband said the Lambs Fry is the best he’s ever had!

1st time attending. Party of 10 met in foyer, comfortable setting.
Entered dining & eventually led to our table.
Meals took very long time to arrive
& frustrating they were NOT brought out all at same time. Not a good thing. It was not busy at all at that time.
In saying that everyone enjoyed their meals, from steak to parmy, roast, fish etc, very nice quality & fresh.
Biggest complaint was female bar staff, very rude, arrogant & argumentative. Not friendly, not welcoming & never smiled.
She attempted to remove our glasses, inserting 3 of her fingers into my glass & I had to grab it & tell her its not finished. She was very rude & tried to still hold onto it.
I did not let go & she was very annoyed with the biggest frown & stormed off.
We asked for bottle of water, she never brought it over.
When my auntie went to bar & poured herself a water, the same bar maid was rude to her & gave her a filthy look.
Service NOT great. Our plates were left on table for very long time before waitress decided to clear table. ( they were not busy & simply standing around chatt

We hadn’t been to the Rex Hotel for awhile and wow what a fantastic renovation the place has really good vibe. The food is reasonably priced and very large serves.
The staff are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. Ashley excellent personable and very friendly and went out of his way to make our day great.
It is our third visit in 3 weeks each time bringing friends.
This is a seniors roast $20 was delicious.

Staff were very friendly and efficient in the bistro. The bistro provided comfortable seating and nice atmosphere.
Extensive choices of dishes on the menu and specials list, at reasonable prices with seniors discounts.
The food was high quality and perfectly cooked and presented. We had the barramundi dish and Atlantic salmon....absolutely delicious! Compliments to the chefs!!!!

Good check-in process and nice comfortable clean room. Unfortunately we couldn't sleep, as the air conditioner was very noisy, making loud popping and whirring sounds every 10 minutes or so, which made it impossible to get back to sleep after the fire alarm went off at around midnight.

Delicious food. Very friendly staff. Special thanks to Ash who greeted us after a terrible day organizing a tow truck from the free way. Hubby remembered having a nice steak dinner whilst staying at the hotel. I remember always having great meals at the Rex even before the renovations. Thank you to all the staff, keep up the good work. It is you that makes the Rex worth coming back to. Next time I'll have the photos.
