Simone is a queen! Never disappoints! She made me love my brows. Very efficient at her job. She took the time at the start to shape my brows which no one has done before. Simone is also so good with conversation which makes our quick appointments never awkward. Appreciate her dedication and consistent results (always amazing). She will be my brow chic for how ever long she is at retreat beauty. She’s being doing my brows for over a year, and she really saved my brows and it has definitely made my thick Greek brows my favourite 🙂

The star is for Evangelina and her only. Lovely lady who is only a beginner but her work is flawless. Pays good attention to detail and takes her time with her work to leave amazing results.

Now the reason why I’m giving Retreat Beauty such a low rating. I booked to get my lashes refilled by Simone as Evangelina was away. My lash app was at 3:45pm and ended at 4:12pm. I was absolutely shocked. I have been getting lashes for several years and never has an app been so rushed and unprofessional. I also didn’t like the way she placed the glue pot on my forehead for the whole appointment as it was irritating and disturbing. I was so surprised and distraught at the time I didn’t say anything and left.

Upon inspection after my initial shock I seen the reason why the appointment was so quick. Simone had stuck each fan onto 3/4 of my natural lashes. Now I’m no lash specialist but there are many reasons why this is so frowned upon.

Of course from the sloppy application my lashes didn’t last long as after only a week when a lash fan fell out there would be a big gap due to the ridiculous set applied. I was and am so unhappy with that work and want to warn people to avoid this kind of work off Simone.

The manager should also have a meeting with her staff to discuss what are the procedures as I had rang days ahead of my first appointment to check whether they allow foreign infills and was told over the phone that’s completely fine. Then on the day of the appointment the manager was so rude and flat out denied that their salon did work on any foreign work which I had to tell her I was told another thing by a member of her team. Not only did she proceed to deny that her member of staff said that but she made it her mission to check my lashes and critique them - please note she wasn’t even the lash tech doing the lashes.

This ruined the first experience but they are one of the only lash places in Innisfail so I had to make do with what little options I had. This salon seriously needs a lesson on salon etiquette. If another salon opens and offers lash services RUN to them and AVOID this place.
