I recently had the pleasure of meeting Isaac a manager for the hotel during our one night stay. I also, at every interaction had excellent service from the staff on site.

The hotel is located just behind the rocks and you really couldn't get much of a better spot!

However.... unfortunately the room is what made the nice location fall short of anything I would call 'quality'.

I'm going to neglect to upload images which would highlight my own experience as I was provided some level of resolutions. But, purchaser beware. The room quality if star ratings still existed in Australia would be lucky to make it past one star.

Enjoy the location and maybe reach out to see if a soft refurbishment has been completed between my review and your stay.

Staff were incredibly welcoming - Luke greeted us warmly on arrival, he's a credit to the hotel. You couldn't ask for a better location - short walk to Circular Quay, Opera House, Botanic Gardens and the light rail as well. Given the location, it was so quiet & felt removed from the hustle & bustle of the CBD. The provided toiletries were great as was the water pressure. The room was spacious and the small kitchenette, whilst we didn't use it, was a welcome addition. Even the rollaway bed was top quality!

This hotel is very well situated with ferries, trains and light rail almost at your door. A quick walk down Suez Canal and you are in George Street opposite the MCA. |The hotel may be showing some signs of wear but the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. A small issue was resolved swiftly. I believe an upgrade is in the offing but in the meanwhile it is a comfortable and reasonably priced place to stay. |There is the capacity to cook meals with a well equipped kitchen- great for longer family stays. However, with so many cafes and pubs nearby we chose not to.

The location is excellent. We were in 2 rooms - one on the 3rd floor and one street level (bedroom and bathroom upstairs). Rooms are a little older but suited what we needed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to the quay so our hop on hop off ferry was easy to access.
Plenty of places to eat with a wide selection. Bit of a distance to any sort of supermarket plus keep an eye on open times especially on weekends. The Rocks Market (weekends) is at the end of the street.
Would definitely stay here again.

So disappointed. Understanding this hotel is old and in desperate need of refurbishment but you can't beat the position and easy of access to all the quay has to offer. However, this is our second time there, and it was thick with dust. Hair left on the sink after the housekeeping had been - bathroom old but also not cleaned properly. Beds not even made porperly. A layer of thick dust discovered on the back of the TV as the remote battery was flat - However, reception staff were very apologetic and really lovely on all areas of arrival and departure - friendly and accommodating - but nothing could stop the 'oh dear this is a mistake' we shared at the sore throat from the dusty room, given it's Sydney no choice but to stay.

Rooms are dated and need some love. Extremely good size though and bonus to have a kitchenette and balcony. Reception staff were always friendly and helpful. Hotel location was excellent so close to the Rocks and Circular Quay. Would definitely stay again ! Great value for money when you look at what some of the other hotels are charging.

Balcony view was impeccable. Comfortable beds, clean room. Carpet & entry-way tiling could do with an upgrade, but convenient short- stay accommodation that was the higher end of reasonably priced. Missed checkin notes of requested single bed set up, but 24-hour reception staffing came in handy by being able to fix the issue promptly.

Mostly good. Reception excellent. Bed exceptional. Couch and chairs in living area not as comfortable as bed, only needs a few scatter cushions though. Kitchen fairly well stocked. There is supposed to be a hairdryer but I haven't found it.
