Came here twice whilst in Hobart and they had excellent performers both times. It is located right in Salamanca in an open air courtyard and it does get quite cold, even with the heaters. Seats all around and space to stand or dance. They sell alcoholic beverage including hot wine and hot gin and juice. Music the second time was a tad too loud but sounded lovely. Suitable for age ranges.

Excellent. And free. Beers were good, too. Just make sure you bring sufficient cash. Only a five minute walk to an ATM but you won’t want to miss the music.
Really picked up in the second hour. Very busy. Good atmosphere.

Excellent performers standard never seen even in Melbourne !!!
Tasmania has amazing artists great dedication and I am convinced the nature contact inspires them always a box of surprises outstanding!!! Energy flowing !!!

This is a Hobart institution. It's one of the first places you would want to visit to hear some live music. There is a beautiful community spirit at rektango. it's a regular Friday event pending weather that can lead onto the good evening down at Salamanca. Highly recommended if it's your first time to Hobart.
