We had the open family cabin. Very basic - a bit like school camp! Was nice though to all be in the one area. Bathroom could be a bit bigger and it would've been good to have an oven. Also all the lights are on one switch. If you had small children you really need a lamp as it's all or nothing.
Beach is a quick walk and was lovely to wake up to kangaroos outside.

Unreal cabins with plenty of space, beautiful bush surroundings with resident Roos. Awesome location across from gorgeous long stretches of beach. Bike/Walking track to Urunga. A real gem.

Our cabin was one room unfortunately our cabin had 7 stairs which was a little hard on myself and daughter who has a ( dis ) ability so stairs are hard for her to climb not all cabins have that many stairs but we still found it clean and comfortable

Don’t bother staying here. You’re better off sleeping outside, you’d have less bugs to worry about.|Upon arrival, we were checked in by an older woman that was really rude and did not make us feel welcome at all. Once we got to the room, we discovered there was an ant infestation inside the cabin. The tv was full of ants so we had to put the tv outside. Then, we woke up to the fridge being full of ants too. Then, after all this we were in such a rush to leave I forgot my 300$ wet weather jacket. Reflections were nice enough to call up and let me know I left it behind. I told them I will pick it up as soon as I could which they were fine with. I went to pick it up just to be told they don’t know where it is now, however “they’d seen it so know it was here”. I guess one of the workers thought ‘finders keepers’ was a real game to play while they’re at work..

The cabins themselves are fully equipped and in a great spot, there were plenty of cabins empty during our stay so not sure why they don’t issue the better ones first.
If you’re getting 2 cabins and have kids I’d recommend cabin 2 & 3, if you’re getting 2 cabins without kids and like to sit up for a bit I’d go cabin 9 & 10, if only 1 cabin then cabin 10 is the pick.
The clothes dryer in the laundry didn’t work, we asked for late check out and was refused… with half of the cabins empty mind you.
The bbq area was great, would I stay in them again ? Probably not.

My husband and I stayed in a cabin at Hungry Head and were very impressed. The cabins bathroom and kitchen have recently been renovated and are excellent. The cabin was very clean and had tea, coffee and milk on arrival which was a nice touch!! The cabins are perfectly located in the bush but across the road from the beach. I highly recommend having lunch or dinner at the pub in town. Management of the caravan park were very friendly and helpful. The board walk in town is a must, you will see lots of fish and bird life. Urunga is a beautiful little town.
