Our villa is lovely. All we need and very clean and fresh. An oven would be amazing instead of a complicated air fryer/microwave thing with no instructions but it’s fine. Comfortable beds and sofa. Modern furnishings. More than we expected. The pool is fabulous and plenty of pool lounges. The disappointing part is the hours the restaurant and bar run. It’s actually ridiculous and no BYO allowed at the pool so when shut you go dry. They have QR codes everywhere to order but they don’t work. Always says closed even when the kitchen is open. The staff are wonderful but management need to extend opening hours. Even closed on a Friday night for dinner and drinks!! Some days the bar shuts at 3pm. Our kids were really disappointed the Xbox room was “unavailable” after receiving a welcome note with information on it. Not hard to reprint one and exclude things that aren’t available to avoid disappointment.

The accommodation itself is great but what really lets it down is the pool and reception times. The reception has extremely limited hours and the pool is like soaking in a warm bath - not what you want after a day of exploring the area in the tropical heat and humidity. Not sure if they have the heater on year round or if they just need some shade sails, but a cold shower would’ve been a more enjoyable way to cool off at the end of the day. Such a shame as it’s a lovely big resort-style pool but we just couldn’t enjoy it as we’d hoped to.

Reef Resort Villas is such a hidden gem! It’s a bit underrated but offers so much, especially if you love lush green views. Our villa backed onto a golf course, and the view from the balcony was stunning. Some villas overlook the tropical pool instead, which is equally beautiful.

There are also private villas available on booking.com, which don’t include resort hospitality services but are a great budget-friendly option. Even without reception services, you still get access to all the amenities- pool, spa, gym, and more.

The pool is a standout feature: a gorgeous saltwater tropical setup with a bar right next to it. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I’d definitely recommend it!

Rooms were clean and functional but needed a little TLC. Back door to villa was a privacy lock and could be opened with a coin so we didn't feel very secure. Pool was OK but water was quite cloudy and needed to have loose leaves and foliage removed from the bottom. Staff were friendly and helpful. A fair distance from the main street of Port.

Villa 17 defiantly has a beachy fresh feel and is well maintained. Big new TV with lots of apps available, unlimited internet provided, balcony. 3 bed, one with queen, second with two king singles, third with king single, 2 bath aircon and fans. Certainly value for money, villa was very clean, and worth the visit. Staff friendly, cocktails nice, pool lovely. Resort not far from the beach.

This review is for Unit 44 only||||To start with, the beds and linen are wonderful and kitchen very good. Also washing machine and dryer are excellent.||||Now the rest:||||The photos shown on Booking.com are nothing like the reality, in fact I wonder if it is the same unit!||||Entrance/living area||Outside generally unkempt and dirty||Large TV fills entrance, difficult to avoid||Curtains have holes and are filthy.||Kitchen blinds are thick with grease||Screws sticking out of walls||Blind by front door broken||Skirting boards thick with dust||Carpet thin and creased||Walls are dirty and have screws sticking out of them||Broom cupboard in laundry area is smelly||||Upstairs bathroom:||Water goes all over floor - dangerous||No soap holder||To turn taps on one gets soaked before water warms up||Lighting is bad||Paint splatter all over window||||Downstairs bathroom:||OK, there is a soap holder in here||||Bedroom 1||Lighting is good||Dust under bed||Curtains have holes||Screws sticking out of grubby walls||Rubbish in top drawer of bedside unit||||Bedroom Two||Lighting good||Screen missing from door/window||Dust under bed||One drawer missing from bedside unit - rubbish in top drawer)||Grubby walls||||Bed Three||Dust under beds||||Overall, this unit is very tired, could do with a proper makeover, looks like it has not been loved since it was built. Certainly not worth what we paid for it and am very disappointed.

Great photo shopping guys...The resort is dreary and tired. Our place was renovated in side but the little garden outside was disheveled. The resort probably was lovely years ago but was not worth the fee per night. Restaurant was closed. No bin in second toilet, broken clothes horse. No outdoor area to put clothes so dripping clothes are in the bathroom which is also the laundry. 2nd bathroom right by the lounge. NO toilet spray provided. 🙁 🙁

We had a great 10 day stay at the Reef Villas in Port Douglas. |Our apartment was really comfortable and clean. From my understanding, a lot of them are decorated differently as they are privately owned but we were very happy with our apartment and could not fault it!|Beds were comfy, air con worked well and it was set up with everything we needed. |The pool is fantastic! We’ve stayed in Port Douglas a few times at different places and it’s definitely one of the better pools in town. The water is the perfect temp, it has shallow bits for kids but also deeper areas for swimming too.|The gardens around the pool are beautiful and tropical which also gives the shade needed on those warm days. |There aren’t heaps of deck chairs, but when we were there it was never full so it didn’t seem to be an issue.|The resort is out of town, we hired a car which made travelling in and out nice and easy, however there are plenty of shuttle buses that come through if you need.|The restaurant is good as well, although it wasn’t always clear from the pool area on the opening hours (there is a sign on the front door though). You can order through the app from the pool area and they will bring your drinks and food straight to you.|We had a great time here and would definitely stay again!
