We stayed for a night and had a very nice upstairs room with lovely views of the gardens. The bed was super comfy and we also had a couple of chairs in the room to sit in or we could take advantage of the small lounge outside. The house was full of character and history. The breakfast was delicious, and Gail was excellent, and really helpful if you needed to know anything and the tip on dining at Bakers Mill Tavern was great as the food was yummy.||A great place to stay for a relaxing break and easy to find but also a brilliant place to stop if simply just breaking up the journey between Launceston and Hobart. It was also a great stop if wanting to explore the area as well. Certainly recommend.

We stayed for two nights on our tour of Tasmania. The house was full of character and the room was perfect in every detail especially the comfortable bed. We had an upstairs room overlooking the gardens and felt totally relaxed throughout our stay. The breakfasts were superb and Gail, the owner, provided top quality service at all times - even coming up late in the evening in her dressing gown to sort out a problem with the TV aerial! A perfect place to stay for a relaxing break and well-positioned to explore the local area. Strongly recommended!

My daughter and I spent two nights at Redcliffe House and it was absolutely delightful! Nigel and Gail are perfect hosts. The House has 5 guest rooms, all beautifully appointed with their own ensuites and individually decorated. There are comfortable public rooms and a large, beautiful garden with plenty of space to wander and contemplate life. ||We were very happy here for two nights, and appreciated all the extras - a delicious, hearty cooked breakfast each morning; extensive DVD library; daily service of the room; cookies with the in-room tea and coffee supplies; helpful guides to local attractions.||We highly recommend Redcliffe House as a comfortable base from which to explore the Freycinet Peninsula.||Thank you Nigel and Gail for a fabulous stay!

Great stay with a friendly and feel-at-home atmosphere which included the resident dog, Meg, her canine neighbor, Teddy and Lily the sheep. Like being on your own farm. We were three adults in Room One, the Garden Room, on the ground floor. We had one king bed and one single bed. The bathroom was a bit small but everything worked. It was part of the original house. We stayed two nights which wasn't quite enough to explore the beautiful scenery and taste the lovely wines. It was early Spring, so still quite cool, but we had a heater and a bed warmer. Very good breakfast. Lots of birds in the garden, including peacocks!

Our first time in Tasmania and we wanted to experience old worlde charm in the places we stayed. We had never done bed and breakfast previously (only as a child in uk, I had but hubby never) and after this experience it won't be our last. |We drove up to the property and greeted by such a welcoming dog (Meg) not boisterous but like we were part of the family. Gail and Nigel were lovely hosts, friendly and informative about the area. Made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable, even the port, which was an added bonus. The accomodation was beyond what we expected, and reminded me of an English country home with gardens to match.|If you stop in Swansea, then this place we would definitely recommend. Thank you|Gail and Nigel, we couldn't of asked for| more. 😊

Redcliffe House is tucked away off the main highway and was a lovely old home in the past. There are 5 guest rooms, fairly smallish, but really they have everything you need. Breakfast is excellent. There aren't a lot of options for dining out but the Bark and Mill Tavern is fine though the meals are very large. A good place to base yourself for a few days on the east coast.

This is a rare find. A beautiful restored historic home decorated tastefully in a colonial style. Gail is an exceptional host who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Nigel prepares a great traditional breakfast (don’t miss out on his scrambled eggs) The attractions of Freycinet are within easy reach and makes for a good day trip but then you can leave the crowds behind and return to peace and tranquillity. Highly recommended!

Surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden this historic homestead is a very inviting and comfortable B&B to enjoy. Gail makes you feel very welcome and valued. It’s only a short trip to see the beautiful wineglass bay and other attractions on the Frecinet peninsular.
