We had such a lovely stay at the Red Steer Hotel Motel. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a jug and a toaster which was very convenient for our early morning starts. The staff at the tavern were extremely friendly and informative. The food was amazing and very well priced. I had the Long Shank and the Salt and Pepper Squid. Both SO good! My husband loved the lamb cutlets and my teenage son enjoyed both the beef and chicken burgers. We will denitely return if we come back to Wagga. Thanks again.

Absolutely amazing food and ice cold beer here. The bar and kitchen staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Their is a great selection of menu items from classic schnitzels to smoked and slow cooked meats. The open fire was a bonus in winter and added to the relaxed atmosphere. Easily the best pub feed in Wagga Wagga

We were staying in Boorooma with our daughter and wanted to go out for a quick meal mid-week after a busy day helping her move house. ||The staff were attentive: providing full table service including taking our meal and drinks orders at our table. ||The steer bread we had as a starter was really yummy. For mains we had a chicken schnitzel, barramundi, and surf and turf (the daily special $18) and all were great. Meals were generously sized and reasonably priced (including the wine). The daily specials are hard to beat so you should definitely check them out.||Highly recommended for a casual meal out that won’t break the bank. High chairs also available.

dated motel but still comfortable, awesome range of craft beer on tap and the food was brilliant. When we turned up could smell the smoker going. Ordered the Slow smoked brisket burger. Was very tasty.
Australia needs more of this style on the menu.
Well done guys !!

The worst hotel in my road trip. First I have to say the reception staff is kind and the linen is clean and the bar looks fine as well.

When I walked in the room - 3 flies on the ground. I kept walking - 1 mocks on the bed, and 1 spider hanging from the ceiling near the bed at this moment I think it’s fine there are lots of bug in this area where the hotel was built in the middle of the farm yard and I will get used to it.

When I walked in the bathroom - lots of cockroaches around the sink and on the towel, and there was spider/spider net at the back of the toilet - this is something unbelievable. I don’t think the facility will end up like this if they do the cleaning regularly. We check with reception, she is willing to give us refund (but we didn’t take the refund as the money has been deducted by Booking.com) and the spray to sanitize the area. We used the spray and went out for dinner, when we came back there were more to come. Dead bug everywhere on the ground and in the sink. I suspect the window in the toilet is not able to close properly which resulted in endless bugs.

Good restaurant and staff but I won’t consider this hotel anymore in my life. If by any accident you live in room #1, I can only say “Good Luck” to you mate.

Stayed a few days and pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and bed linen was excellent. Everything you need. The meals in the hotel were very good and over our stay we had scotch fillet, vegetarian and smoked meat board. Plenty of food and very tasty.. Staff were also accommodating.

We arrived late afternoon to a forecourt that looked like a building site. Reception was manned and check in was straightforward.||Our room 11 was a family room on the end.||It was tired, very dated, but clean enough. The beds were old but comfortable, although a bit saggy. Bathroom mirror was badly worn, shower was very hot but low pressure.||The air conditioner was old and too noisy to leave on all night. There was no ceiling fan and no opening windows for ventilation.||We ate at the restaurant and the food, mostly a variety of burgers, was tasty and good value.||We sat outside as there were a large number of tradies in the bar and it was a pleasant evening.||There was live music the night of our stay which was an added bonus and meant that the bar was lively and enjoyable.||It was a cheap overnight stay before catching an early morning flight.||Not unexpectedly poor but unlikely to stay here again although we may visit for food or entertainment

A simple pub in Middle if refurbishment - steel gates blocking use of part of indoor area however quite comfortable bench tables with cover.
Inside is very small and 'old school'. Crumbed squid strips from the standard pub grub menu were lovely, other food being delivered looked great and drinks well priced, even though I had to explain what Pimms was. Very much a beer and bourbon, maybe vodka or a simple cocktail "for the ladies".
Staff need training on how to deal with drunk patrons, including cutting people off and removal, even if the customer is a regular. People only behave how they are allowed to. It should not take a fellow patron, female, to step in and tell a noisy obnoxious regular to shut up or leave - especially during a show tickets had been purchased for.
Similarly, if doing live entertainment for purchase, check tickets and prevent non ticket holders from attending, otherwise we paying customers feel ripped off.
Generally a nice simple pub for the locals.
