Our room did not have a lot of old world charm but the adjoining bedroom was more attractive. The bed was comfortable. There was no lock on our bedroom door which is not acceptable when you are sharing a bathroom and a floor with others. It also meant we could not leave items in our room during the day. The sitting room down the hallway could accommodate 2 people comfortably if they wanted to watch the tiny LCD TV. The website mentions that there is a guest lounge room with open fireplace but we were not offered the use of that. The rooms have ducted airconditioning but no controls so you are at the mercy of the host's decision as to what temperature your room should be. We were instructed to be at breakfast at 8am. There was no consultation regarding our preferences. A disappointing experience.
