The café had a nice vibe with beautiful décor, mostly in an old-style theme. The staff were friendly, which was a plus.
However, there were several issues. The coffee was cold, which was disappointing. The knives provided for cutting were extremely old and dull, making it frustrating to slice through food. On top of that, the glass of water they served had a noticeable egg-like smell, which was quite unpleasant.
Overall, while the atmosphere and staff were good, these issues need improvement.

A real mixed bag when we visited here (group of 4). Staff are warm and welcoming, good variety on the menu, lovely chairs outside. But the kitchen is a completely different story altogether, the burger I had was fantastic, however the BLT was average, and one of my companions didn't even receive his food after we had all eaten and a got a refund instead, the place wasn't busy so a real let down. Huge potential, kitchen just needs to get better organised.

Wouldn’t bother coming here, you are better finding another place. Had the worst experience ever. If you like ants in your food, then this place is for you but not me. Once we arrived there was left over food on the table. I asked the waiter if they could please wipe the table down. He replied yes, then asked if we would like drinks. Then a different waiter came back with drinks !! My friends were keen to eat their breakfast, so we ordered. Then a different waiter came and took our order and still no one cleaned the mess I asked them to. Breakfast came out and the meals were really small, then before I knew it Ants came out for their breakfast too. Was not happy in the slightest bit.

We had lunch here on a weekend. The place was a bit crowded but we didn’t have difficulty in finding a table. The decor is pleasant and there are outdoor seating as well. The food was pretty decent, egg Benedict on rosti was delicious, the captain’s plate was reasonably done, but my lunch companion found the egg tasted a bit bland. The WAM beef bugger was well put together but lacking just a bit of woomph, maybe better sources might do the trick? The coffee and mocha were OK but not outstanding. Overall we enjoyed the time there.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Food was fresh and flavourful. Very relaxed environment for a morning coffee or breakfast. Many of the items on the menu sounded really delicious so it was hard to pick but I had the omelette and that had great flavours and seasoning. Topped it off with a strawberry milkshake 🍓🥛

We were attending a convention at a local hotel, and this little beauty was close by- Thank goodness!

Coffee is absolutely delicious and every dish we ordered was utterly enjoyable. 😋

For quite a few of the convention attendees, this was the go-to place for sustenance! In fact, we kept looking at each other's ordered dishes and going back to order what they had to try it, because theirs looked so good too! 😉

Hubby ordered the Salmon Eggs Bene twice because he enjoyed them so much, whilst I enjoyed the Mojo Rojo (Avocado/eggs/tomato/fetta/dukkah/capsicum sauce). For lunch we tried the WAM (Beef) and Fried Chicken burgers - again, yum! They have some sweet treats at the counter to choose from, too!

The staff are lovely and friendly, and the food is what you expect from Melbourne - high quality and delicious. The chef knows his craft, as do the barista's!

They have seating out on the footpath, inside the front area, and at the rear of the property. Parking is on the street.

Very bad experience this morning ! our family arrived Melbourne from Sydney last night meeting a client at 9:30am, we went down to this red cup cafe 2 minute away from our serviced apartment at 8:30am allow enough time for a breakfast before heading back to our room for the meeting. A waiter came to take our order which were 3 captain plate, we waited for quite a while until second waiter came around 9:05 asking what we are waiting if we needed any thing, we said we were just waiting for food, it s bring a while, he said there are big orders to cook, then we continue waiting till 9:20, nothing happened, we went to the counter asking what’s going on, and requested takeaway with our food, I believe that was the only time they passed on the order and started cooking, it took about 6-7 minutes for the takeaway boxes be prepared , which means they totally forgotten the order even after few waiters checking, no one care to check if the order were put through, at the end, the manager said give us some discount, but only one coffee was made free after we spent $120 more on the takeaway food, and eating takeaway box in hotel room half finished as client was waiting while we were eating. No joy of eating, emplacement in front of client for disordered day, full frustration start for a day in Melbourne. We would not recommend this cafe given employees are not care about their job deliveries, managers not able to comfort the situation for the customer when such a screw up happened, we have lost the smile on the faces which meant to be a happy trip to spend weekend in Melbourne 😢👎

The staff and service were pleasant. Unfortunately I was served raw chicken in a burger and I mean raw. I pointed it out to the waitress who took it away. I had a couple of chips off the plate and noticed they were only just warm. I understand these things happen, but considering the dangers of uncooked chicken and the fact that I now missed out on lunch, I was disappointed to find there was no effort to compensate for the unpleasant experience. We were charged for everything else. It would’ve been nice for them to at least say “sorry, and we’ve taken one coffee off the bill” A $4 coffee would’ve been a nice gesture and I would’ve chocked it up to a bad experience. It just tells me that they weren’t shocked or embarrassed about serving raw chicken, and that getting the money was more important than basic customer service and an apology. Very disappointing. Will never go back.
