Rambutan resort Townsville is located in the heart of City Center. It's close to everything, Museum, Ferry station, restaurants. It has a swimming pool as well.

A self-patking is free of charge and easy to get to your room with a lift.
The reception staff are amazing, I forgot to take my bag when I checked out, and they ringed me for asking how to deal with and they helped me to post my bag to home as I require.

It's a really pleasant hotel to lodge with during a visit to Townsville and make our travelling unforgettable.

Had the filo night dinner with my kids. Reception downstair was very welcoming. Staff upstairs are always helpful. We enjoyed our dinner. My daughter commented “this is great dinner”. I never heard her say that even on a fine dining set. Foods are great servings are huge. They will fill the middle section first so no one is left alone and segregated. At first I did not like it as I am one of that introvert person, however as my family came by. I kinda actually liked the atmosphere and as how the staff thought about the positioning well. The guy server has always been great. Unsure if he’s the main bartender or the manager. I hope he gets paid good.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Reasonable rates. Elevator and lobby only open 6a-10p, but two restaurants on site and nice staff!

Did not end up staying here so can’t speak to the facilities. Had a trip booked that I cancelled due to severe weather in the area, and they only gave a partial refund despite buses in and out of town being cancelled due to flooding. The dive shop I’d booked through in town proactively cancelled and fully refunded scheduled dives for the safety of their customers while this establishment kept the money of travellers unable to reach this destination or would be at risk of getting stuck.

Perfect location if you wish to take the ferry to visit Magnetic Island - nice room with access to a lovely terrace pool and restaurant. The restaurant serves amazing wood fire pizza!! I absolutely recommend.

This property is crazy good value for a 5-star hotel and it definitely delivers on that claim.

Plentiful amenities and charming rooms. Cafe on the ground floor and restaurant located on top, all the food I had was tasty, staff are great.

The only downside I could think of is probably noise as the pool, rooftop restaurant and rooms are on the same level. My room's door was steps away from the restaurant, however when I was there it was only open in the evening until about 10pm so it wasn't a huge issue.

Ideal location if you are planning to visit Magnetic Island or transiting though the Breakwater Terminal.

Definitely consider staying here! Absolute gem of a place.

Good views at the rooftop dining. Reasonably priced specials available. Car parking is out of the way and difficult for access. Can't access the lift as it's locked out at 10pm. You have to call a number if you wish to leave early.
