I've been there a fair few times over the years and it's always been good. My last visit was a couple of days ago and the food was great (and great value for the lunch special), the staff were really friendly and it's always a nice atmosphere.

The Railway Hotel is one of our favourite destinations for lunch when we go for a motorcycle ride. The service is faultless, the menu is comprehensive, and prices are affordable. Staff are always welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble.

Fantastic kids meals, they serve the children proper food, it was delicious and really good value for money.
My partner loved it here which is saying something as he hates nearly everywhere we eat out and would highly recommend the seafood chowder.

My wife and I went here for lunch today, my wife had the dirty Birdy Parma, and I had the chefs signature seafood basket, and OMG absolutely huge portions and absolutely delicious and worth every cent, the staff were fabulous and friendly and welcoming, we will now be regular customers, thank you for a great experience

What a shame to a beautiful start to our meal.entrees where hot then our mains came out and a meal was missing
Waitress brought docket back and said you didn't order it but when we reminded her that she repeated to us she said yeah I remember
So the meal came out the rest of us had finished then to add Salt to the wound the seafood wasn't cooked

Very disappointed you could had poisoned my daughter

Have usually had good visits here but Last week the service was very poor, people who ordered food 20 plus minutes after us were getting it before us, the steak was cooked completely wrong but we were not prepared to wait another 50 minutes to get a new plate and some of the staff's attitude was poor on this particular night. I will say that this visit was the exception and certainly not the rule because generally we have been happy.
