Outstanding hotel. Room was comfy, warm and, thank heavens, clean! Charming historic building. I remember when the old Pink Elephant markets were there.
Daily housekeeping, parking extra, and close to everything. Missus heard some traffic noise in the evening. Check-in was friendly and easy. Good value as well, it was in off season.

Great staff! Good location, but parking can be a little difficult and the streets are hard to access nearby if you happen to miss the turn.
The rooms are nice and have good space but my room had a pongy kind of smell. Like water that had been sitting for too long. I assume this was just my room but.
Despite that it was a great place to stay and a touch of nostalgia for someone who loved going to it as a kid when it was the Newcastle museum.

good location of the hotel and the carpark was well lit so i felt safe. didn't really get to enjoy the room because of how early the checkout time is. first hotel i've been to with a 10am checkout time. shower door could be improved, water still went out because there is a gap at the bottom of the door. bed was comfortable however, i was disappointed that it was two beds combined instead of one big bed. would probably not book again but it was an overall 8/10 stay.
