This is a pleasant small caravan park in a super convenient location virtually in the centre of Queanbeyan. But convenience comes at a cost. It was noisy from the cars and hoons driving by until the early hours of a weekday morning. A public walkway is right next to the river adjacent sites with no fencing. Seems very exposed! The park is unmanned and operates remotely by email and CCTV. Interesting business model that works ok, but don’t expect that personal touch on arrival. In fact the detailed email check in failed to mention the site number had been allocated and where to find that number. We ended up staying on the wrong site allocation. I think we’ll look at other accommodation options next time we are passing through.

Our first visit to Queanbeyan Riverside Caravan Park. Although the visit was for medical reasons we are looking forward to coming back next year. There are just over 40 sites with plenty of room to park your van and car. Our site was along the river walk with views over the river. The river walk is an easy stroll with access to the shopping centre. A short stroll will take to a well looked after garden to browse. The amenities are well maintained and the site clean. There is a Council playground for the kids next door and I'm sure plenty to do in townyou could also go to Canberra which is a stones throw away. We can't wait to visit again to explore more of what Queanbeyan has to offer.

Conveniently located, good for a one night stop only due to lack of secure fencing around the whole perimeter of the park.
Locals tend to walk thru the end as a short cut.
Ladies toilet security scanning was absent making using the conveniences at night a little concerning.
This should be considered especially as site fees are on par with other parks offering full security.

Really nice park albeit the middle sites a bit narrow. Love the self check in/out and the fob for this and for the amenities. Price was pretty good for the area and the ability to walk to major shops was great. Understand the need for security cameras however they do inhibit privacy a bit. Nice bike/walking path to the back and the river really nice. 100% recommend.

Got to be honest was pretty disappointed with this site, has full security at the entrance with boom gate but then it doesn't do any thing as the rest of the park is fully open to the public, no fencing or anything especially where we were in site 1, sitting right next to a public park and public toilets. Our site was awful for a drive through, spacious for our 23ft van but the site is on a huge incline and is impossible to get the van level. Best we could get it and we were still 40mm out front to back , works against our drains
Anyway apart from that it was quite surprisingly quiet , ok for just a short stay no longer a night or so

The caravan park was in the excellent spot next to the river and across the road from the bus depot and very close to all the shops you need but the service is useless. It’s fully automated and if that works well that’s okay but when you need help. It seems to be impossible to get hold of anybody. Is a small kitchen and laundry in the toilets and showers are reasonably clean with nice hot water for the showers.

We stayed in our caravan. The sites are tight to get into, but OK with some reversing skills, the toilet block was clean and ok, showers a little small.
The only real negative was the rubbish bins, either not enough or not emptied regularly enough, they were all overflowing during our 3-day stay.

Great location easy to walk to the park or the riverside plaza and Kmart. Arrived a tad early but Bec was very accommodating and helped us check in. Easy checking in system with a code to get your boom gate and amenities pass. Overall excellent 2 night stay!
Exit boom gate wasn’t in use when we stayed, but it didn’t bother us at all.
