We booked this hotel for a short, relaxing pool getaway, but unfortunately, it turned out to be far from relaxing.

The pool area was extremely cramped, with very limited space. A significant portion of the area was taken up by pricey daybeds that remained mostly unoccupied, while guests lingered around all day hoping for a free sunbed. The lack of available seating made the experience frustrating. On top of that, cleanliness was an issue – there was a piece of gum stuck to a handrail that stayed there for our entire visit.

The atmosphere around the pool was chaotic. Kids were CONSTANTLY jumping into the pool, causing water to splash onto guests sitting in the first and even second rows. Despite this, none of the staff intervened even once.

On a positive note, the food at the Pool was delicious, and the rooms themselves were lovely. However, they lacked some basic amenities such as cotton pads, swabs, and slippers, which you’d expect for the price.

The staff, overall, didn’t seem very attentive or proactive.

Overall, this stay did not justify the cost. If you’re considering a relaxing poolside escape, I’d suggest looking at other hotels where your money would be better spent.

My partner and I had the most incredible stay at the QT Gold Coast! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. We were warmly greeted by a lovely staff member who assisted with our bags, and then we checked in with one of the fantastic receptionists. Check out was a breeze too! The fabulous staff are so kind and professional.
Our room was stunning—spotlessly clean with the most breathtaking view of the ocean. And the bed... wow! I had the best sleep of my life.
On our way out we stopped off and had a coffee at the café in reception. The coffee was exceptional and again, the staff were so wonderful!
You can truly see how much care and attention has been put into every detail and the upkeep of this hotel.

I’ll definitely be recommending the QT Gold Coast to all of my friends and family! ❤️

Rooms are small but its all you need, they are modern and clean. Beds are comfy, tv is large as is the shower. Mini bar is plentiful.

We were on level 18, so had a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounds. Staff were all amazing. Food at Bazaar was awesome. Close to the beach, safe parking underground...It was a really wonderful stay.

We had (overall) a beautiful 1 night stay. I will write the positives and negatives to assist future travellers.|Stayed in a twin ocean view room which was practical with a beautiful view. We enjoyed the lovely soft beds and pillows and the bathroom amenities very much.|We had dinner at Bazaar and it was excellent. I will write a separate review as our server Ernesto deserves special mention, he really made our night fun and special. |Positives: lovely kind check in and check out - all efficient there|room - excellent|Bazaar restaurant - excellent|Parking - easy but at a cost||Not so positive: the cafe in the lobby we had breakfast and it was very poor, both the quality of food and the seating there. Go elsewhere. A real let down considering everything else is so good. |Cleaning - throw pillows had long hairs all over them and mini bar (bottles all very dusty)|Pool area - very crowded this time of year (xmas) understandably but not relaxing. Ordered drinks via qr code and after 25 mins checked where they were and order had been lost so that was a shame.|Smoking - the room next to us was smoking on their balcony so we had to have our door shut/air con on to avoid. a pity as the sea breeze is beautiful. Not sure what the policy is here as nothing stated anywhere re smoking or non.|Mini bar - a tiny qr code on a piece of paper that was not explained to us.|Xmas decor - sadly lacking, very modern if anything and woke signs Merry Everything which is disappointing to us. what is wrong with some xmas tinsel and Merry christmas?||Overall i would return and enjoyed our stay alot

We booked Christmas buffet in the Bazaar…amazing! The service was so good, heaps of staff, terrific food and drinks. The attention to detail of all the staff and Chefs was incredible! Right down to gifts for the kids from Santa with their name on it and the Gingerbread House making comp!! We also stayed that night in the hotel and really enjoyed our stay. Thanks QT for making the day so special!

This is not a 5 star hotel |We are currently on a months travel starting from Bangkok ending in Singapore |All stops are booked with 5 star hotels and this has been the most disappointing not just on this trip but on any travel we have done previously (we are on stop 4)|We arrived around lunch time 2 days ago and I have to say we were met by a very pleasant concierge and a very helpful receptionist and were impressed by the location and look of the hotel |Our room wasn’t ready so they kindly offered us a free drink, not anywhere to change but said our room would be ready soon |We headed outside to the pool as it was a lovely day and were shocked by the size of it -the pool area is tiny people lying on the floor, practically diving for a sunbeds when they became available and we thought surely the size of hotel there is another area WRONG |We went to the bar and ordered our free drinks to be told it was only larger after they made the drinks, which isn’t a big deal, was a nice gesture but would have been an idea to inform us when they handed them over. Drinks were nice but over priced |Room was okay, we have been to better and view was amazing -this is the hotels saviour. |None of normal items you would get in a 5 star hotel such as combs, tooth kit etc just body wash, shampoo conditioner, small soap shower cap and a small cream |No mini bar menu and iPad wasn’t working in room so didn’t know what was chargeable -again not informed |Breakfast next morning -as we had jet lag we were up early so headed down just as it opened, we were greeted by a pleasant young women who asked if we would like a hot drink when we said yes she printed a receipt and advised us that it was chargeable unless we wanted filter coffee! Again something we should have been advised about This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel no nice coffee with breakfast unless you pay when you have paid for breakfast already! Breakfast selection was okay but not great and fresh |Went to hire bikes which we asked about when we were checking in as two were in lobby, receptionist contacted the concierge to see what time they would be back, by radio and he rudely snapped at her saying he was busy |We then find out there is only two bikes! We a guest count of around 700 and this is advertised |Advised receptionist that iPad wasn’t working and she smugly said “you were notified by a letter under your door” erm the letter said the telephones were being changed and a technician needed access to our room on the 18th, they came on the 19th! She then handed us a code and said use this -could you not have handed this to us on check in ? Again no communication |Went for breakfast next morning and reluctantly paid for the coffee -went later this time, food had been stood a while and cold (hot breakfast)! |We grabbed some water as we did the day before, the girl who greeted us was awkwardly hanging round our table and when we got up she said “are you coming back tomorrow” we says yes “well the water isn’t free but I’ll let you off today just be aware” in a rude manner, we felt like criminals NO COMMUNICATION and you are charged for water? Think the staff need a course in customer care it was a simple mistake, we don’t travel with a crystal ball |We went to reception to enquire and they said it was right so we asked if they could replace the plastic bottled water in our rooms that hadn’t been done since we arrived and were told we would have to be there to do that and sign as that is chargeable as well - again WHAT you don’t even get a complimentary bottle of water in a “5 star hotel” we had already drank the 4 bottles in room and again were not advised |The issue isn’t with us having to pay it’s the fact that no one has a clue and if they did they can’t be bothered to tell you |Staff after the first day seemed like they couldn’t be bothered (if you could find them) and had a bit of an attitude -are they aware of any of this? Is it a training issue? as it’s hard to believe it’s not communicated to you|It was both our birthdays so we did get a nice gift of chocolate and champagne left on the room with a card but now we are unsure if it was a gift or not 🤣|iPads have now gone , replaced with an old fashioned phone and alarm clock! still no clue of cost of stuff in mini bar we are using it blinded as no menu or QR code placed in room and would t dare ask! Nothing in the room has been replenished either for days |Cleaning -our room hasn’t been cleaned at all today and I think they just make your bed and provide clean towels, there has been a Henry hoover in our hallway since we arrived and it doesn’t look like it’s moved - why is it just in the hallway? Is there not a cleaning cupboard? |We checked the weather and due to the rain we planned on using the spa today, went down to book a massage and facial to find a paper sign advising it is closed! Again no communication if the weather is bad there is nothing to do in the hotel apart from drink or eat at a cost |The only saving grace of this hotel is the view (which we paid extra for NOTHING IS FREE) and location |Wouldn’t return gutted we are here for another day or so |Think this chain of the hotel is more about how much money they make and not about the customer or their reputation -very sad as it could be what it is rated.

We stayed in the QT cabins and it was so much fun! Loved the aesthetic, the bed and surprisingly lots of room. Comfiest bed ever! Rachelle was lovely on the phone, and even better in person. She made us feel very welcome and as though we could ask for the world and she would deliver it with a smile. Thanks Rachelle! The breakfast buffet was great, so many options and delicious. It will be the only place I will book if I return to the Gold Coast 🙂

My husband and I stay quite often at hotels and this hotel was up there with our favourite!! The hotel is trendy and fun! Every single staff member that we talked to were super friendly!! We went to the buffet dinner and it was 10/10! The buffet breakfast was lovely so much choice! We had the best time staying here!! We will be back!! 👌
