Stayed at the QTBondi with my 2 year old son on Saturday night.

The room, while fairly nice, absolutely stunk of cigarettes. It was like I was staying above a country pub in the 80's...

I called reception to ask to be moved and was told that they were full and unfortunately id have to suck it up.

For $500 a night i'd expect better.

Qt Bondi is the best place to be here. You are literally 4 min walk from the beach! And the food!! The beach and waves here are magnificent. Service at Qt was unbearable. Anything we needed, they helped us right away. We will always come back here.

I stayed at QT Bondi this week and while the check-in process was smooth, the second half of the stay was not great, and felt it was worth sharing as I felt dismissed and shutdown when I expressed concern to the front desk manager at the time…||Sometime between 7:30-8:30 AM, renovations started outside my room. I opened the door and noticed the entire carpet on the floor was gone - with knives and power tools and workmen outside my door, and a strong chemical smell (pictures attached). I went down to the front desk to check if they were aware and asked if anything could be done (partially credited or otherwise) due to the construction, as I hadn’t been expecting this when i booked the room at full price or notified of the renovations when checking-in. She kind of smirked and looked at me like i was crazy and said “no?! because it wasn’t at night and you can still get out of your room…” I said oh thats not great is there a manager i could speak to maybe? She smirked again and said, “I am the manager.” It kind of sucked and to be honest i felt uncomfortable, embarrassed, and almost made to feel small about bringing up the concern (I am not one to make a fuss or complain about something unless its a valid concern - i had to create a Trip Advisor account just to write this review.)||She told me that I was given the top floor and a late check out and implied this should make up for it. I tried to explain that I hadn’t been given the option to have a different room or move my stay to a different day or made aware in advance - and this was the main issue I was trying to solve. A late check out was not helpful in this case because there were chemical smells coming into the room and also I could hear construction and the ripping up of the carpet. Extra time in the room was not helpful in this case, and I wish the front desk acknowledged this nuance with more care…. I was a solo traveler, but if it had been kids and there were knives, etc just out the door, it’s probably not the best situation.||She tried to be polite to me when I came back from coffee, but i already felt uncomfortable. ||I think it would have been fine if not for how I was treated by the front desk. I got the sense she wanted to make me feel small for bringing my concern up, and make sure i felt uncomfortable enough not to escalate further.||If booking in the near future, I would recommend double checking with front desk if there’s going to be any construction to be aware of.||And to be honest, I would still point people to QT Bondi bc it’s the nicest option in the area (and I can tell it usually gets good reviews from staff, which I was looking forward to!), but personally it was an uncomfortable customer experience in the end.

The view was spectacular. Everything we needed was within walking distance. The Bi Bus Tour was great.

We’ve stayed here many times, and the location and front desk service are excellent. The only down side is not having a restaurant on prem and the room service is not great. Luckily, Lola’s is in the same development and has the best food, wine and service in the area. (Wish we could charge back from there for ease as we do at other QT locations.)

My experience at this hotel was marred by the unprofessionalism of the reception staff specifically by Telma the daytime manager in charge. She has mislead us with fault information on the phone and once we arrived she said it was too bad.
I was extremely surprised with her response.
They were rude and unhelpful, making the check-in process unnecessarily difficult. When I asked for assistance with a booking issue, they responded with impatience and did not resolve the problem. Their lack of courtesy and poor attitude significantly impacted my stay. I expected much better service from a hotel of this caliber.
They have mislead us with information and made it very uncomfortable stay and time for us.

I would highly recommend anyone to get everything in writing by email to avoid any issues, or misleading information.

I would also highly recommend QT management to get their staff in a much more professional level of communication to avoid any issues like this moving forward.

Overall great location and many things so do nearby.

Great location, decent rooms but the staff are very hard to deal with.
Would highly recommend a new management team to look after this place.
