Stayed total of 6 nights, booked directly with QCWA. Manager Loretta very helpful. Located in North Cairns near the hospital. Shops in nearby Sheridan St and the excellent Cock & Bull pub around the corner. About 25 minutes walk into city centre or take the bus in next street.||Older style units, clean and quiet with everything you need. Gate locked at night and safe for women. ||Really enjoyed my stay and recommend.

Our family loves staying here. The Manager Loretta is so friendly and helpful. She really does make you feel welcome. Great service. The units are always clean. The location is convenient. Peaceful, family feel. Thanks again, it is always a pleasure staying here.

I had stayed here in 2009 and found the unit to be very reasonably priced, well-appointed, clean and a decent standard for what I paid so I wanted to come back. It proved to be the same this time but I didn't remember that there was no pool so this was a disappointment as I would have been in it every day.

Everything in the unit worked well and the shower water pressure was brilliant!

Despite the fact that they have a challenging climate with regard to keeping mould/rust under control there was very little evidence of this which goes to show how well maintained they are.

It is gated which is a plus as it helps to not only make it more secure for the guests but the vehicles too.

There is a nice outdoor eating area although I didn't take advantage of it.

The manager is a lovely woman who made me feel very welcome and that nothing would be too much trouble.

It has a communal laundry which is handy for anyone staying longer than a few days.

The location is a short drive to the CBD, it could certainly be walked in around 1/2 hr but there is a pub a couple of steps away, a small shopping centre a short walk and the Cairns Hospital at the back.

I didn't find it noisy despite all the traffic going in and out of the hospital and the pub being close. I did hear aircraft but it didn't bother me. I don't think all the units were occupied which means that noise from them was minimal too - no party animals or people coming and going all hours!

Would recommend this place to anyone.

Mum and I have just spent 3 nights at CWA Holiday Units and we really enjoyed our stay! Loretta was very helpful and obliging and made our arrival out of office hours a very positive experience! The unit had 2 bedrooms, was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable, had a new full size fridge, microwave and all the cooking facilities you need for self-catering. The unit is very suitable for elderly people! Ideal location for all the sights. Walking distance to the esplanade for a nice walk! We highly recommend these units as a great, safe place to stay at a very reasonable cost! Please note no swimming pool as one of the photos suggests.

Units have everything you need. We had a very comfortable stay. Manager initially very friendly but seemed to take it personally if an issue arose. Needs to be a but more understanding.

I had stayed here in 2008 or 9 and found them to be very good value for money so wanted to stay again. I wasn't expecting to be able to get a room here as I was in Cairns in peak tourist season however the pandemic meant that numbers were down so I can only assume this is why it wasn't difficult. ||||The manager is a lovely woman who wants to go out of her way to make you feel welcome rather than just another tourist.||||I loved everything about the unit and it's location although it doesn't have a pool and this was one thing I missed as it meant that I couldn't just walk out of my unit a short distance and have a swim. However if saving money is more important it certainly wins there.||||There is a great pub close by, hospital is very close and the CBD is a short drive away as is a small group of shops.||||Would recommend this place if you want affordable, clean accommodation in Cairns.

Lovely, quaint self contained apartments that have everything you need for a relaxing stay. Loretta is a perfect host and makes all the difference with your stay, she's very flexible and takes great care of everything. Overall it has been a great experience and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for something at a very reasonable price, very close to the water and downtown. Laundry facilities on both floors, and parking out the front. Shops are close and there is a pub down on the corner if you want a drink or meal out.

Clean set of self contained units with great management. Only issue is the uncomfy couch but when you are here on medical stay it's really not important. Loved the usable herb garden, used it a lot for our stay, fresh chilli's, paw paw tree.... sun birds frequenting the garden area. Great location to the hospital. Having a garden was great therapy for a little one on a lot of pain unable to run around and play.
