Located on the main Street of Normanton. We popped in with a few tour buddies for dessert and drinks one evening. Two of our group ordered chocolate mud cake and received massive, country-sized portions with cream and ice cream. The rest of us ordered drinks which were refreshing.
And yes, the pub is indeed purple with purple chairs out front and purple shirts for the staff 😁.

Certainly stands out with its purple colour. We dropped in for a drink. Lovely cold beer, very friendly people serving. Nice little pokie area . People in the pub friendly and happy. Outside on the balcony is a good place to sit, and watch the few people and cars. Beautifully done war memorial in the middle of the street. Certainly worth a stop.

A great atmosphere but don't expect to get quality food either the chef isn't a chef or simply just can't cook .

Saturday night, 6 out of 10 meals on menu weren't available. Meal was very average and over priced. The infamous Purple Pub, don't bother

What a huge disappointment! Went with my two little kids and dog. Was told there was dog friendly dining out the back so went and ordered then sat out the back. We were then told by the manager we had to sit in the smokers area because we had a dog. So my two kids ate dinner surrounded by smokers. Mean while the managers friend walked around the whole pub, inside and out, with her dog. Manager was the rudest bar person I have ever met. Would t recommend to anyone!!

Basic rooms, but very comfy, had no problem with noise from pub and it was a busy night. Had a great feed there and met some very friendly people. Staff very helpful, special mention to domestic girls they couldn't do enough for us when we needed something. Perfect stopover.

Central to Normanton (because it’s very small!). The food was average but the service was great, lovely ladies. We booked accomodation and the shower head wasn’t connected to the wall.. which made it very hard to shower with tiny bits of water spitting out of the wall.
