What a wonderful spot to spend a Sunday for lunch and afternoon. We arrived around 12:30 and although the carpark was full we got a nice shady park on the verge. This place is great for gatherings, this place is set-up for catering to large groups or in our case just two. We had the roast and because there were a couple of large orders in before us the Materdea brought us a snack of lovely grapes. The roast was lamb and so tender you needn't have chewed it. Great views are to be had from inside or outside. Had a great live band keeping us entertained with their music. Highly recommend this place to getaway from everything. 👍👍👍

It was a delight to visit again after some time. The new owners have brought a fresh perspective and it is very enjoyable.

After our hike through Gorman's Gap, we arrived soaked to the skin, but the sky cleared enough to make it lovely to sit outside and dry off while we ate our tasty breakfast.

The staff were attentive and friendly, the orders were out in a timely fashion and the food was well presented and tasted delicious.

I had the most delightful experience with my friend today . The venue is exquisite, we felt welcomed and personally catered for. We ate the most beautiful vegan pizza and mouth watering garlic mushrooms. Our meal was accompanied by the amazing FarSide blues band. A place to visit if you haven’t done so yet.

Fabulous mothers day lunch with family. Lovely food and amazing service by friendly and helpful staff - they are all keepers.
Well done. As locals it is great to have a new "go to" when other new venues fall far short.
We will return.
Returned 5 months later, mid October, bringing friends for weekday lunch. Service on arrival and mains did not disappoint - all were lovely and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, desserts did not meet the same high standard - in variety or execution. Wld go elsewhere for coffee and sweets next time if same on offer, but definitely be back for mains.
Wait staff also need to learn to check empty plates cleared from mains before attempting to deposit coffees and desserts on same table. (Simply staff training)

Our daughter was married at this amazing venue in August 2022 and it was perfect. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for the owners and we were treated like family. The gardens were immaculate, views superb, the food fantastic and the fact that the guests, many who had travelled from far and wide, had no commute between the wedding venue and reception was greatly appreciated.

We went on a pizza night and the pizza wasn't amazing. The prosciutto pizza was definitely not worth getting. We scoffed at the price, but they are definitely big enough for two and come with a lil salad bar and dessert too. The view is amazing and the vibe is pretty cool. Special mention to the guitarist playing live music! My little one wanted to get up and dance to his playing, so he tossed in a sneaky Wiggles tune just for her. Super cute! Would recommend, but don't bother with the prosciutto pizza
