Porters Plainlands has everything you could need or wish for, and sets the bar in the region for so many aspects of excellent hospitality. ||My visit was a self-indulging treat, and I'm so glad I chose Porters to host it. From the moment of arrival and check in to the moment I drove out of the parking lot, I felt that firstly, as a person, my experience there was very much cared about, and secondly, that my business was appreciated. ||My room was so comfortable and pleasant; the bed, pillows, shower and other hotel provisions were excellent. Good coffee and tea brands too - though I'd have liked a decaf and ended up going down to the bar to get one made for me. I especially liked the fragrance of the toiletries: vanilla and honey, but it wasn't like the cheap, sickly or overbearing like the supermarket interpretations of that scent blend, but was a complex, unisex, botanical aroma. It was quite lovely. ||The rooms are away from the highway and was well-soundproofed. I didn't hear any road noise while in my room. For others with sensory sensitivities like me, there's ample capacity to enjoy cocooning yourself in privacy. ||When venturing beyond my room to dine and relax in the hotel's other facilities, the staff went all-out to ensure I had a good experience. Friendly and helpful staff that take notice of subtle details and personalise their service to each guest. It's a wonderful staff team that made my stay so much more enjoyable, and I'm grateful for that.

Recently stayed one night at the hotel due to no power at home and was very impressed by the room. When staying at a pub I don’t think luxury, I was wrong. The room is spacious, beautifully designed and presented. T2 and a complimentary loofah were an extra treat. Marcia was great with service and communication in getting us a room as we were originally waitlisted. 10/10 once again Porters.

We had our lunch there on Saturday 11th January 2025. 10 family members.

Food was excellent as was the service.

Granddaughter brought with her a home made birthday cake for her Dad.

Staff were very obliging to have the cake sliced and presented to us on plates at no extra cost.

They kept it in a freezer until it was time to cut it.

Some meals were large but staff supplied the take home containers which was nice of them too.

Awesome room. Very comfortable bed. Excellent food in the restaurant had dinner and breakfast. Staff very friendly. Everything was kept immaculate. Would stay there again that's for sure. A big place but still has country charm. An old family business exceptionally run by proud owners

This bustling, vibrant pub offers a cozy, semi-rural atmosphere. It features a few gaming machines, and the aroma of the food is absolutely irresistible. The service was impressive. Conveniently located just off the highway on the way to Toowoomba.

Stopped in today on the way home from Brisbane with my dad for a late lunch. We didn't know there had been a wonderful remodel out the back. The dining are was lovely (great aircon too)with nice and clean toilet facilities.
I had the loaded cheeseburger fries off the special menu and wowee it was delicious! For only $16 it was a massive serving and the flavour was fantastic. I requested no pickles and someone came to our table to double check if I still wanted the burger sauce as it had pickles in it which I really appreciated.
My dad had the bangers and mash and he also said his meal was fantastic.
We didn't order any dessert but had to admire and take a photo, the cakes were enormous. Will definitely be trying one next time.

Wait time has a little excessive - appreciate that the kids meals come out straight away but kids were done before the adults meals showed up and they were bored while we ate. Other than that, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and very good prices. Love stopping here on my trips west!

Another Fantastic, very generous and delicious breakfast this morning. Staff were very friendly and the kitchen was very flexible with my order.
So grateful have such excellent service at a regional location here at Porters.
