Quiet place despite being surrounded by a workers demountables camp. Not many sites, but good amenities including free laundry and an all you can eat buffet (seafood on Saturday night with prawns and scallops) for $30. Terrific service from check-in on. Even a friendly chap filled our gas bottle for us. Nice people, good handy location close to the cheapest diesel in town, reasonably priced, relatively quiet despite being across the road from the airport. This is our second stay here on passing through Hedland.

This is primarily a construction site, secondly a miners camp, with finally a few very run down sites for tourists. Amenities were old, but clean. We did have a' miners buffet' which was nice for a change, but the park itself looks very unloved. Giant cattle poop everywhere, that looked as if it had been there some time.||||We have been travelling for nine months and this is the first bad review I have written. Oh, and this was the most expensive place we have stayed so far at 50.00 a night.||||Only positive is that each person we spoke to was friendly. Overall this park has no amenity. If you have any choice, don't stay here.

This is a truely horrible place. The original caravan park has been taken over by a sea of 'Dongers' (workers huts) to cash in on the mining boom leaving only a couple of dozen caravan sites out the back in amongst the rubble and concrete blocks. At only $30 the management realise it's not very good and also try to make up for it by providing access to the workers dining room with a large range of food for $20 all you can eat. So if you want to camp in a mining camp and eat in a cafeteria this is the place for you.

It is not a regular caravan park, it's really a place for workers that are working in construction, but saying that it was a powdered site for $20 per night, toilet and showers clean. Used the washing machines and no charge. There s a new motel which is near to where the reception is located (located behind the BP servo). Very difficult to find not signed!!! At the motel they have food it costs $20 each and it is as much as you can eat, so worth it!!! Very friendly at reception. Would stay again.

Geared for mine workers. Has a large hotel style accommodation block, a lot of mobile demountables in poor condition and a small very basic caravan park area. Amenities are okay and it conveniently located next to highway. Useful for a one night stay while passing through.

Over priced and definitely not a tourist park. Basically a workers camp. Could not find one positive thing to say. We arrived about 7 at night and could not even find the office had to ask passer-by. Moved the next day to Cooke Point and it was much better.

We had a booking at this venue 3 weeks before our arrival. All we had was an email saying yes and see you then. It sounded a bit suspicious, so glad i kept and took the email with us. ||||It is hard to find as the address does not match gps, and it is sign posted, with major signage as another name. ||||On arrival there was no record of our booking. ||||Luckily they had space and got us in. ||||The checkin staff are lacklustre, not super friendly.||||Site is massive and you have to shown to your area, room , unit , caravan what ever you want to call it. ||||Our check in person took a phone call, just before showing us our room, (outside it) and proceeded to talk for 25 minutes on the call. ||||The room was very under adequate. no shower curtain, smelly, no glasses. Luckily the ac and bed were ok. ||||Very over priced. ||||The dinner in the mess hall with the workers is out of this world. I would come here for the food not the accomodation. ||||We were also charged incorrectly and after waiting 15 mins at check out could not be told how much we would be charged for our stay.

It's not an oasis but for us it served it's purpose well with a large family ... amenities were clean.... priced very fairly. ... enough room to move. Reading previous negative feedback ; give it a chance|Port Hedland is slowly transitioning from being an unaffordable working town to realizing that tourism can certainly be a downturn buffer Allan
