Red dirt venue with clean facilities is pretty good for an overflow park. Fee ( cash only $25 for unpowered is ok too.)
Being officious and misogynistic is not acceptable.
The man booking us in today told me off for parking in the "wrong place". Yet there was no signage as to where the "right" place to park is, while checking in. No signage as to where to check in.( we parked in an empty site and went to find where to book in. We were not unhitched and could easily move. We parked out of the way of other vehicles.)
If another camper hadnt told me I would not have known where to go to pay as the mobile home looked like a campers site.
Later I could see some A4 laminated paper signs saying "caretaker"
After I paid, I was handed a toilet key and this man then explained the instructions for toilets and the park, not speaking to me ( a mere female) but keeping eye contact with the man in the queue behind me.
Rude, condescending and misogynistic.

The campsite was ok. The showers and toilets were really small but totally fine and clean.
We felt a bit unwelcome in the beginning because of the sign at the entrance that says "no backpackers allowed". But we talked to the caretaker and he was friendly and we could stay there without any problem.

I STAYED IN THE CARPARK FOR THE $25 CAMPING FEE WHICH WAS VERY GOOD. SHOWERS AND BATHROOM AVAILABLE VIA A KEY OVERNIGHT WAS GREAT. UNFORTUNATELY MY WATCH WAS TAKEN IN THE SHOWER ROOM OFF THE HOOK I HAD LEFT IT ON WHEN I SHOWERED AND WENT BACK LATER TO FIND IT HAD BEEN LIFTED.. VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT IN 10 WEEKS TRAVELLING, THIS WAS THE FIRST THEFT I HAD EXPERIENCED.

Perfect place for a low priced camping ground. Clean amenities, welcoming and nice caretakers, washing machines available and friendly campers. There needs to be more cheap campgrounds like this.

Port Headland Golf Club has a small area out the side to fit a few caravans with power and water at $35/n in October. The grounds are fairly level but just dirt. It is dog 🐕 friendly, and you can walk your dogs off leash on the golf course so long as you clean up after them, of course. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bar is open at certain times when there are patrons, and they serve good meals and nice cold drinks on a Friday night between 6-8pm at reasonable prices. Would highly recommend this place for a couple of nights stay whilst checking out Port Headland.

Best regional golf course on the west coast. Sand greens but the tees and fairways are lush green. Quite a good challenge with the afternoon winds. Great bar and prices, will definitely be back!

What a lovely little Club with the most beautiful & well tended green fairways. Have turf at the greens.
This club shows pride ... the staff while hard working are all extremely friendly and welcoming.
Camping has some powered spots but no grass ... that's all on the course haha.
Great fish and chip nite on Friday which seemed well supported by the locals.
Loved our couple of nights here, with thanks to Sandy and the rest of the crew.
