We bought a second hand spa from friends who recommended this company and they had all the spa details so thought we would continue with them, we changed all the owner details on shop at first visit (to find each receipt still had old owners details ) , they were very helpful until 12mths later we ran into spa issues - we took control panel in and couple grand later got it back but still not working correctly, they stuffed us around sending out an electrical person, eventually got an apprentice who didn’t know much at all, still a broken spa, eventually they said th ey would send out an electrician again- we paid a deposit and heard nothing, we rang and went into store, 4weeks nothing/ so we rang and got told very bluntly and rudely they won’t come the 40mins out to us!!! We requested a refund which he did with hesitation before hanging up on us!!!! Several months of broken spa, a lot of money and them promising to help to be told so rudely they won’t help us!!! Highly disappointed and will never recommend them after being treated so rudely by their staff - now to find someone in area who knows something about spa’s as they don’t seem to know much at all about them!

Firstly, Michael the salesman went above and beyond and has always been a pleasure to deal with. We have tried to resolve these issues privately and I didn't want to leave a public review but I've been left with no other option.

We held off from paying our final invoice (which is now paid) as we hoped that would encourage management to follow up (which took 5 months when they where chasing the $2,800 outstanding) on a couple of issues:

1. a hollow spot under our step from the installation – which is a big concern being a fibreglass pool

2. failure to hand the pool over in a clean state

Regarding the hollow spot on installation, the response has been (without doing a site visit to confirm if it has been done properly):
"As stated in my previous email to you there is crusher dust under the bench and the steps supporting the bench and pool, we are professional and are completely aware of the installation guidelines as each and every pool installed by Leisure Pools Toowoomba follow these guidelines throughout all installations in the strictest manner."

This is the response without showing any concern about the issue OR doing a site visit to confirm wether or not the installation was done properly. Why would we make them aware of this issue if it was done properly?

Further to that the warranty clearly states that if the installation hasn't been done properly and according to the manual our warranty is void.

Regarding the final clean, we phoned their site manager and his response was that they've been out there already to clean and they weren't coming out to do the final clean. In our frustration we responded to Leisure Pools request to do a handover by simply saying we would get somebody else to do it. We did this in hope that they would at least pick up the phone and speak to us to resolve the issue. Instead they just never responded and were happy for us to do it.

We held off paying the final invoice in hope that somebody in their management would at least try and speak to us to resolve the issues. After discussing with the salesman in April about our frustrations he notified us that he would speak to management about it and get them to follow up. We still heard nothing.

For a company that doesn't think they could make a mistake, they made our concrete bond beam too wide, tiled over it and then had to cut back 100mm of concrete to try and fix it, which left the bond beam at a weird angle and cracked a tile in the process. The tiler told us that this was "normal practice" when we asked about the overhang. The tiling job is very average and un-level in certain parts. Silicone in certain areas is already falling out of the holes.

This could have been easily resolved by Jim and his team with a tiny bit of customer service and care which Leisure Pools seem to think customers paying thousands of dollars for a pool don't deserve.

Finally, if you click my name you will see that every other review I've given on Google is a positive one. I do not go out of my way to give negative reviews. I hope this review helps somebody else avoid the situation that we have been in.

Past happy customer of Lange Pools for repairs. This time very disinterested, very long time to attend and young fella had no idea. After chasing them up numerous times I got the impression they just weren't interested. Took my business elsewhere.

Pool build

Extremely poor communication with us and between their trades completing the job from start to finish.

We were originally told the pool could be completed in 3 months…..from start to handover the job took over 10 months!!! This held up other trades trying to complete other areas such as decking and garden beds. Completing our pool clearly was not a priority where I’m sure they would have done others within this time. We would have gone through a different company in that time, especially for the price charged, not worth it.

Tiling around our pool was terrible, not level and trying to get them to fix this was a very long drawn out process. Speaking with the tilers and leisure pools manager they were very rude when trying to resolve this as well.

Would NOT build through this company again or recommend them to family or friends.

I have dealt with Lange Pools since 2002 but today will be the last time I deal with them. A sign on the door stated "Closed Back at 1.30" The doors weren't reopened until 1.50pm. Many customers were then waiting to conduct business. The current owner has just lost our business; not because of his tardy attitude to business hours but because of his rude arrogant comments to, and treatment of his customers. We won't be back! We'll take our money elsewhere.

The oasis spa is brilliant. Great therapeutic massage. Very good build quality. Easy to maintain. Thank you to Darren and the team for all help with a challenging installation.
Update...elec bill only increased by 300 in the quarter and the spa used nearly every night and kept at 36 degrees. Pretty good!
