A nice little café in the centre of town, and one of the few places open on a Sunday.

Pod serves fairly classic brunch food, as well as a range of sweet treats (mostly waffles), so there's something for everyone. The food was pretty cheap but tasted great, so we were really impressed. Only downside is that there was no kids menu, so we had to order adult meals for them.

Coffees were good. Nothing special in terms of flavour, but well made and good latte art. The hot Nutella was also delicious! And kids milkshakes were very reasonably priced.

Staff were friendly, highchairs were available, there was indoor and covered outdoor seating, and parking was right outside on the street.

Super busy, and rightfully so. Great coffees. Despite the very long line, it moved quickly and ordering was simple and efficient.

FOOD.
I had the nutella capuccino and it's actually good. I was expecting that it will be too sweet but it's actually not so it's great.
The cake as well is delicious. 😋🤤 Balanced flavour, texture and sweetness.
The chicken and mayo sandwich requires improvement. I'm not sure how tho. The dressing was too runny.

PLACE.
Cute place. Clean and tidy. Well-kept.

SERVICE.
Quick service although it was a little busy that time. Approachable staff.

New home owners to the area of Padstow and heard good things about Pod by Peter. I’ve tried a few times myself for a coffee and pastry and told my wife she should try, they’re good. So this morning while I was at the Drs she decided to order a coffee. When ordering the coffee there was no question of what table she was sitting at but rather their first assumption was she wanted the coffee takeaway, like hurry up and leave, did they not want her to take a seat? Secondly, the coffee came but with a face of a monkey on it (the staff were asians and my wife is a brown woman). My first impression is how racist…intended or not, maybe staff should rethink their coffee art before serving to their customers. (Black or brown customers are likely to take that one way only just like we did). This experience has left us with a horrible impression of the place & we will go elsewhere now. There is NO place for RACISM, implied or not, in a suburb like Padstow where multiculturalism thrives, it gives the area a bad name.

My favourite local cafe. Love the window selection of cakes, sweets, food for breakfast and lunch, oh and love the coffee. The carrot cake is the best in town. The owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming. Always happy to have a chat. Clean and tidy cafe. Highly recommend ☕️🧁

Egg roll is really good, especially with a great coffee.
My favorite coffee shop for weekend when waiting for my kid in kungfu class.

Nice sofa for families and kids is a plus.

Very nice decor and conveniently located near the station. Lots of pretty desserts on offer but they did not taste as good as they looked. Staff could be friendlier and the coffee was pretty average. The waffles on the table next to us looked delish though.
