Picture Perfect is a genuine and unique B & B experience. The accommodation we chose was the Railway Carriage - a refurbished mail van with enough home comforts to make it inviting, relaxing and rewarding. The location is special with heaps of birdlife in the trees and around the lake-like dam, kangaroos across the hillside and echidnas along the road.||The double bed was very comfortable and the air-conditioning welcome after a day exploring the nearby South Perth Hills, Armadale and regions across to the Indian Ocean. Breakfast supplies were ample, refreshed on request and always enjoyable. It would be the ideal place to escape from the world for a retreat, write a book or just soak up the environment. Shelley and Mark are great hosts and really look after their guests.

My wife and I just spent two nights and a glorious day around Bedfordale before moving onto Perth. We stayed in the Blue Wren Cottage and it was excellent. Everything was picture perfect and our hosts, Shelley and Mark, made sure that we were comfortable and had whatever we needed.||||The whole area is wonderful to explore with the entry to the Bungendore National Park just a few hundred meters down the road. We spent a day wondering around the park and the widlflowers and birds were plentiful.||||Yes there really are Blue Wrens around Blue Wren Cottage and Bev got lots of fantastic photos just sitting in the yard out back. It is a wonderful B&B and is setup so that you can just help yourself. So don't expect room service but it is really not necessary.||||You wake up to lots of bird calls and a large group of, what seems to be, resident kangaroos in the next door paddock. Lots of the females had joeys (baby kangaroos) and they just laid around most of the day. So some easy photo opportunities. End of the day came the Black Cockatoos heading home for the night they are loud and can't be easily missed.||||Mark recommended a restaurant for dinner which was fantastic and worth a short drive to Roleys on the Ridge. Probably the best lamb spare ribs I have ever had.||||You really need to have your own transport to get around but there are lots of cafe's and restaurants within a short driving distance mostly of quite back roads.

Sometimes the pictures you find on the internet of somewhere to stay give an unrealistic expectation of what it is actually like 'in the flesh'. I can categorically say this isn't the case with Picture Perfect Bed & Breakfast. ||||It is set in a rural, peaceful location with its own lake and gazebo (with BBQ and seating area) and the property has views towards Wungong Dam but close to amenities if required. The owners Shelley & Mark were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Blue Wren Suite which is attached to the main house but entirely self contained, and it was absolutely perfect. Our hosts had thought of everything to make the stay comfortable with high quality furnishings and attention to detail. We wanted for nothing. Self service continental breakfast was included in the price which was very reasonable considering the overall package.||||The surroundings were beautiful and a photographers delight, especially if interested in wildlife. Dusk and dawn saw kangaroos on the neighbouring property, and during the day various species of birds flitted from tree to tree including the Scarlet Robin and New Holland Honeyeater. The weather unfortunately was quite cloudy on the day we were there, with the following morning very dull with rain at times but that didn't detract from the overall beauty of the place, it has just made us determined to visit again, probably in the Spring and to spend two nights there to slow the pace and use it as a base for exploring what the area has to offer.||||Thank you Shelley and Mark for a beautiful, albeit short stay.

This is a review which I have been meaning to write about for a long time; time passes but that is no excuse; I apologise to all those travellers who might have missed out on the chance to have stayed at such a unique location and with such friendly and welcoming hosts. My husband and I had travelled to Australia from the UK with our adult daughter to visit our son who was on a solo motor bike ride around this vast country! He found this B&B/ holiday rental for us in advance and arranged that we rent the Blue Wren Suite and the Old Railway Carriage for our daughter.||We had rented a car for our holiday so after an easy drive from Perth airport we arrived at 'Picture Perfect' to find it set in beautiful countryside outside the quiet town of Armadale. Our welcome by Mark and his wife Shelley was so warm and openly friendy, we felt like long lost friends. Before we were shown our accommodation we were offered refreshment in their own spacious bungalow, very welcome after the long flight; we also were introduced to their delightful young children and little dog. We couldn't believe our eyes when we saw our suite; it was really perfect in every way and quite self contained. The gorgeous bed and living area had everything one could possibly need for a comfortable stay, with a well stocked fridge to start us off. Our daughter, when shown her luxuriously appointed Old Railway Carriage just a short walk down the footpath, was 'over the moon' with her special room and privacy.||The grounds where Mark and Shelley have their home are like an English park/farm land with rolling hills and woodland; kangaroos wandering shyly within easy sight of the homestead. This is a lovely place to go for nature trail walks through the wooded pathways and the abundance of exotic birds is a sight to behold and an absolute pleasure. We used Picture Perfect as a comfortable base from where we could explore Perth (which is a beautiful, clean and modern city), relax and sit in the sunshine, together with catching up with old friends in Adelaide and Melbourne using flights from Perth Airport.||As a lovely surprise at the end of our superb holiday, we were invited to join Mark, Shelley and their family to a farewell evening barbeque dinner; what a wonderful way to say goodbye - or hopefully, until next time....

I've been staying at many different places during my 3 1/2 week trip to Australia, yet this is one place that I truly hope to revisit again.||Mark & Shelley are such kind and accommodating hosts. They went out of their way to make me and my wife feel at home. ||In this world of profit and efficiency, it is refreshing to stay at a place, where you're still treated nicely.||We stayed at the blue wren suite and couldn't have been happier. It was private, quiet and clean.||I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to stay near Perth.

This B & B is located in a quiet, rural setting and offers a superb view over the Wungong reservoir. The large garden is ideal for watching the wide variety of birdlife which inhabits or passes through the area, while the surrounding countryside offers scope for walking. The accomodation is spacious, fully equipped and comfortable. The rural setting makes for a very quiet environment and every chance of a good night's sleep. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and keen make sure my stay met my expectations.||||A pub and a restaurant are a short drive away and the meals I had in my two nights at Picture Perfect were very good.

This review should have been written ages ago, I did try, however, the name of the bed & breakfast would not come up on the computer, tonight 1 year & 2 months later I found it.||||After flying in from Auckland in November 2011 we drove our rental car to Picture Perfect which had been booked for us by our friend who lives in Bedfordale.||||We were given a very friendly welcome by Mark & Shelley and they set the tone for the rest of our three day stay.||||The place is so beautiful I did not want to leave even for the day to attend a conference. I did spend half a day on my own to relax and enjoy the wonderful surroundings, bush walks, kangaroo, colourful birds and a very tranquil lake.||||My husband and I stayed in the Blue Wren room, it was clean and very spacious and the 'fridge and cupboards were well stocked.||||On the Saturday evening we were kindly invited to join Mark & Shelly for a BBQ. We declined because we were tired, it was a lovely gesture.||||Mark went out of his way to explain how to best get to Mossman in Perth City, and also some of the attractions in the Margaret River area (vast).||||We couldn't fault Picture Perfect. We will definitely stay there again.||||Picture Perfect is paradise.||||I rate Picture Perfect, 10 /10.
