After spending some time exploring, we were in search of a good coffee and found Phillip Island Coffee Co., which stays open until 5 PM—a great option in the area. We were pleased to hear that they roast their own coffee beans, a sign of their commitment to quality.

I ordered my usual—a 3/4 almond cappuccino, which can be hard to get just right, but they absolutely nailed it. It was smooth, delicious, and perfectly crafted. My partner had a cold brew made from single-origin Brazilian coffee, which was full of flavor and exceptionally refreshing.

We also couldn’t resist trying their chocolate crinkle, which was soft and decadent, making for a perfect pairing with our drinks.

Phillip Island Coffee Co. is a must-visit for coffee lovers, with expertly roasted beans and great service.

This café is in a great spot and has a really nice, relaxed vibe. The best part is definitely the house-made cakes, which are fresh and full of flavor. The carrot cake is the standout—super moist, perfectly spiced, and topped with creamy frosting that’s just right. Grab a slice with a cup of coffee, and you’ve got yourself a great afternoon.

Visited about less than a month ago, and wanted to wait before I rated. Firstly the elderly lady who was serving (maybe the owner), whom I don't know from a bar of soap, Was chatting to another staff member, then approached the counter, to serve, continued the conversation to me, about another staff being on leave, and meant to be back today, but was sick. Blah! Blah? Blah. As a customer, this is not my problem, and this is not professional on your part. I don't care, and am sure other customers did not care. Once I ordered and paid, I went to my table. The tables and floors needed attention. So did the rest of the store. Food and coffee was average. Then we overheard the same lady talking to another couple at the counter, while paying. She made sarcastic remarks, and they looked uncomfortable. (I won't get into that as it was not appropriate). This couple did not need to be insulted by your sarcastic remarks, even though you are trying to be diplomatic in your part, it certainly didn't make you look intelligent. My son said she is rude, I don't like it here, can we go. We left everything and left..... The store does have loads on nik nil-nacks to purchase, like jams, coffees, coffee acc' etc. It's a quirky store. So I hope everyone who visits this cafe, does have a better experience. And hope the older lady does less chatting and chooses her words wisely while chatting to people.

Don’t get the burrito bowl, nothing about it is Mexican! It was inedible, literally just bland black beans and plain white rice. I would suggest to management to take this off the menu as its slap in the face to customers who spend their hard earned money on it. I had to leave after paying 15 dollars for it. Honestly shocked, feel like I’ve been robbed !

Ok where do I start ...the barista made a really good coffee and seemed like a nice lady, hard working, the rest of the staff looked so lost and had minimal experience. The one that stood out was an elderly lady that we came across was very rude she seemed like the boss with attitude.
We sat in for a simple quick breakfast bite which was coffee, fruit toast and a scone. Coffee came quick but the fruit toast came 15 mins later and the scon another 10 minutes later.
Very disappointed, here is the pic of the fruit toast they served us ! Image says it all.

Very small portions, the burrito bowl cost $16 and was basic, no coriander or jalapeños in sight, we were each granted half a cherry tomato (per bowl) and 1/4 cup of white rice. Chips were good, fish was average (not fresh).

The staff were very courteous and responsive, but I just wasn’t able to enjoy the food and drinks. The coffee was a bit too bitter and lacked depth, and the pastry was a bit bland. Tables were a bit sticky from what I assume is a lack of cleaning/wiping so we felt a bit uncomfortable and were not able to fully enjoy our visit. There was however quite a few patrons during our visit, even though it was on a weekday afternoon. (Given the time, it might have also been because other cafes have already closed.) So, the relatively poorer experience we had was probably because it was a bit busier than expected for the staff.

I would say that it may be worth giving another visit on another day.
