A good stay overall, during the busy mid January time.
A few oddities with checkin and room servicing.
Quite limited meal options at the hotel but adjacent to restaurant precinct with plenty of options.
150m walk to the patrolled beach but the pool is the centre of this resort.
Nice pool area but very popular and hard to find a shaded spot after 10am.
Would be much nicer out of high season.

I have said “very good” in my review but there were things that did go wrong, that should not have, but in saying that the resort looks lovely, the lagoon pool fantastic and our room suited us and was in a good position. In saying that when we arrived our room was not ready, then the room we were given was not what we had paid for, a lagoon pool view room. We refused the room and were told we could stay in it for the night and move to another room next day….we said no, we wanted a room that was suitable for our entire 9 night stay. I was sent to look at a room which was suitable but unknown to reception had not been serviced. By this time we were worn out and frustrated. Eventually the room was serviced and ready for us to move into and it was a lovely room, close to the pool. We were given a very small food and beverage credit on our account to use but every time we wanted to charge anything back to our room we couldn’t which meant many trips back to reception for them to sort out which they kept saying they did each time but nothing changed. I found the staff at the bar very unfriendly or helpful except Lucas who was terrific. Also the bar has small bar meals which are quite good especially during happy hour 4-5pm but on a Thursday, Fri and sat you cannot access food at the bar during this time as the restuarant is gearing up for opening at 5.30pm. We think this should be remedied as having access to some food during this time is important. I think Peppers should try and live up to what is perceived a good reputation which at the moment is lacking. |The Salt area is lovely with some magnificent restaurants in the Village.

A week away via car. Arrival was warm and friendly, the resort overall was very appealing to the eye and room was a delight. I cannot fault the resort nor staff at all but rather compliment the experience, the hotel and the staff for an amazing quality week!

I've stayed in a few five star resorts. There's no way this is a five star resort. Cons:
- Ran out of towels on a Saturday. Couldn't go for a swim. Never seen that before at a resort.
- Bikes in bad shape. Gears don't work, nobody checking them. Just thrown in the corner and forgotten about.
- Our room faced the carpark. Homeless guy living in his van 2m outside our room.
- Evacuation false alarms going off all night waking our baby.
- Staff look miserable. Everybody looking like they hate working there.
- Rooms dated. I've never slept in a bed that made snapping and popping sounds which sounded like it was about to collapse when you rolled over. We tried to remain completely still.
- Room service menu didn't work. Errors.

Pros: Buffet breakfast was great. Location very good. Pool is nice, but impossible to get a seat during the day.

Our family has stayed at Pepper’s several times and has generally been pleased with our experience. However, during our most recent stay, we encountered several issues.

Upon arrival, all cutlery, cups, and dishes required rewashing, and all kitchen surfaces needed cleaning. Broken glass was discovered in the dishwasher, and the dishwasher filter was extremely dirty. Additionally, my wife cleaned the floor, dusted all areas, and cleaned the doors to the bedroom and bathroom as they were dirty.

Furthermore, there was significant dust buildup along the carpet edges near the skirting boards, particularly in the corner next to the bed. We also discovered a broken bin under the sink, which was promptly replaced once reported. It is unclear why this was not addressed prior to our arrival.

We were also interested in utilising the complimentary bike hires but found that the bikes were in poor condition and unrideable due to being exposed to adverse weather conditions outside throughout the year.

Despite these issues, the room featured modern, high-quality furniture and included the amenities we required for our stay. The staff provided excellent service, particularly Dean, who was very helpful and supportive. Additionally, the in-room coffee machine and pods were available at no extra cost, and our family thoroughly enjoyed using the main pool.

Booked our work Christmas party at Peppers on Salt Beach, and enjoyed every part of it from initial contact right through to checking out. The location is lovely and the resort is modern and well maintained. The Staff were super friendly and helpful. We felt very relaxed and well looked after. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

I have stayed in multiple 5 star hotels in my life.unfortunately at peppers Kingscliff I have experienced the worst customer service.
Long wait time for food and beverages.
Unfriendly staff
Dirty cutlery dirty plates
Piss poor communication
We were made to switch rooms
Mould on blinds
Not a smile to be seen in the whole place
For other than that being a 9 year old I had a great time
Swimming and the bed was cozy.

We stayed there for 3 nights in room 3105. This is a hotel room, meaning is very small, with a sliding door facing the lagoon.
The good first. The lagoon is very nice, big enough to accommodate children and adults. The resort gave us at check-in two vouchers for bar. Pool towels are free. Parking is underground free and big enough. There are few restaurants close by and I can recommend the Giulia as the best regarding price and food quality.
The bad now. Appalling management. We tried to extend our stay for one more day and they wanted to charge us two days for one night. The breakfast options are average with many items, like sourdough or avocado available only at early hours. The hotel room very small with just basic facilities. The TV outdated and in need to be replaced.
