Rooms needed a bit of maintenance and so did the buildings. Room was comfortable though and sounds travel through the walls, so it can get rather noisy in the room when others outside or in the hallway walk past talking.
Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a small but lovely garden as well. Parking is not close to any rooms with the carpark been a dirt lot.

We have just spent a couple of days with friends, what a peaceful place to stay, lovely gardens, room was clean, staff friendly and helpful, meals were great, and sitting by the fire at night was so comfortable, we had such a lovely stay in this charming old hotel. Room upgrade was very much appreciated. A special thank you to Ted, General Manager, for his assistance with the seat belt incident, you were so helpful. We will be back.

Historic building with a great reception area and beautiful gardens. Only a short drive into down. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and quiet. Bed was a little on the firm side and the outside of the windows could do with a brush down to remove a few cob webs. Really enjoyed the on-site restaurant and had one of the best meals of my life there, thoroughly enjoyed our stay .

We arrived and were warmly greeted. After putting our bags in our room we had a walk around this charming building. After exploring and looking at the old history photos, we went and sat in the comfy lounges in front of the fireplace and enjoyed a drink prior to dinner. Dinner was excellent.

The Pepper's resort have a certain reputation for quality and prestige but sadly this venue fell well short of that. Our room had the feel of a standard 3 star hotel. The lighting was very dark, the room small and generally the finishes appears more budget. The bed was comfortable and the complementary drinks and snack bars was a nice touch. Everything about this hotel seems run down. The chipped tables in the lounge area,sofa past their used by date, peeling paint as you look out the restuarant window as I looked past the jam jar ( not a trendy mason type jar) vase with a flower in it. Other table had vases. The gardens were lovely and in better repair than the building. I know this is a historic hotel and I can overlook the noisy floorboards and the battered skirting boards, these all add charm but basic maintenance seems to be an afterthought. I don't think I will be returning.

Service !! |Room needs renovating ||We stayed there for 2 nights as Accor members. Prior to arrival I emailed within enough time, the Operations supervisor to acknowledge that due to my first request is against their policy of RSA. I then asked for a bottle of wine to be place in my room for my husband’s 50th birthday. We arrived with nothing done at all! I also asked if we could have a cake or small dessert for him after the dinner Saturday night for his birthday, apparently this was given to the chef’s prior to our arrival as well. Unfortunately nothing done. |Unfortunately great service is hard to find. The rooms require renovations as there was alot of rust and noise from pipes etc. |Check in there was a wait as only one lady on, but that was fine. |The restaurant was nice for breakfast, food was delicious for dinner and great menu. |Lovely outside areas and views, positioned well within area and town. |Stay at a lot of Accor hotels and other places, this was disappointing. The local restaurants all come to the party and were amazing!

Staff were very professional and accommodating. Great relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed the cocktails /drinks in front of the fireplace and the food at Hickory’s Restaurant was superb! |The resort and rooms were very clean. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful old comfortable building like an old shoe you love to wear despite its age and wear. Happy to go back beautiful gardens excellent staff and service. Food very good. Will definitely be going back. Close to Bowral and great shopping.
