Great food here today. Had lunch. Chef should be proud. Everything was fresh and yummy. They have seniors meals too. Do yourselves a favour and eat here.

What a surprise this place was lovely, we caught up with family and had a really nice lunch.

There is a gaming room, sports bar with billiard table and a good size bistro.

Wheelchair access, they also have a courtesy bus.

The service for food and drinks was quick and efficient, but not having eaten there in some time, I was a bit disappointed in the meal, which didn't seem quite to the standard of the past. The bruschetta was tasty but collapsed as the bread was a bit too soft to support it. The steak was tasty and cooked well but was a bit fatty and gristly. The chips were ok, but nothing special to talk about, and the vegies (particularly the potato) was oily. I wondered If I had ordered my usual Chicken Christina I may have enjoyed that meal more - we may return again soon to see. The bistro was not as busy as in the past, despite us being there soon after 7.30, maybe they were much busier earlier, or people in function rooms, as there were lots of cars around. We stayed until almost midnight, chatting with a friend, and no-one encouraged us to leave, so we felt welcome and contented. It was nice and warm and well lit inside, with a good ambience, and staff were cheerful and pleasant.

Had a chicken parm for lunch, it cost $30. Super filling and arrived very quick.
A staff member helped us find a table of 9 with no issues on a Sunday. Friendly service.

Hi guys celebrated my Big 50th here. I booked the back function room with the bigger bar and outdoor area for all the smokers. Had a cracker of a night and shared some memorable moments. A little tip when booking. Ensure you ask all your guest to book all your meals and drinks to your function room as all these expenses come off your required deposit. If you have a big group, this will help immensely. Highly recommend it and your personal bar staff are awesome. Enjoy and have 3 drinks for me...

Ah, the Peppermill Inn in Shepparton – where dreams go to die, and apparently, so do pigs… but only halfway.

I ordered the pork shank, full of hope, ready for a crispy crackling masterpiece and a melt-in-your-mouth experience.
What I got was a culinary crime scene.
The crackling? Soft. Like, wet paper towel.
The meat? Barely cooked and so tough it could’ve been utilized in the space program.

Now, I’m a reasonable guy but having flagged this with the staff, the only response that I received was a shrug and an acknowledgement that the meal was a failure.
Nothing more.
The kitchen seemed not to care and certainly didn’t welcome any feedback.
The Peppermill might do beer and pokies just fine, but when it comes to food – particularly the pork shank – they’re oinking up the wrong tree.

Just walked out of the mill
We had a meal there and a couple of beverages
The rare scotch fillet was cooked to PERFECTION and the minister for finance had the pork roast and that was excellent.
The staff were top notch.
