This is a fantastic, private little B&B, with a welcoming host, not to forget Flo the friendly canine co-host whose fleeting visits to make sure all is well adds the homely touch. The cabin room is well equipped, the bed and couch comfortable. The breakfast superb with 3 choices of just where to eat it - room, patio or conservatory. Very handy location, but having a car is definitely a good idea. Local hotel restaurant / pub just a short walk away does good, reasonably priced food. Enjoy the sqwarking cockatoos on the wing at dusk as you walk the neighbourhood in the evening. Very handy to the McLaren Vale wineries, and tucked just off a main road that connects directly onto the main expressway to and from Adelaide. We will definitely return ! You won't be disappointed.

This was a marvellous place to stay. Close to hotel for dinner. Super comfy bed (and pillows!). Very welcoming hosts, including Flo. Lovely breakfast. A great escape to relax. Highly recommend.

There is good reason this B&B gets awards and great reviews—because it is great. The host could not be more helpful and communicative, checking to make sure things would ready for my arrival and, when I left, checking to make sure I’d gotten to my next destination. Located in a quiet neighborhood, the rustic charm of the cabin separate from the house was just lovely, spacious, and comfortable—with air conditioning and television if you were so inclined. The queen (or was it king?) bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it home with me. There was another bed on the upper lever, so I assume if you have two couples or a family, you’d use that too. Breakfast was sumptuous—there really is no other word. Choices included eggs sausages muesli fresh fruit toast or other breads hot coffee and the best tea I’ve ever had. For a day of visiting the McLaren Vale vineyards, this breakfast kept you satiated for the long haul. The location was perfect for the wine region, which in 10 minutes from the driveway you could be tasting wine at on of the areas many wineries. Again, the host proved a fount of information, with maps and other materials to assist. One bonus was the ‘tea house’ about two walking blocks from the B&B. It’s not a tea hose—lol. It’s a local pub and pub-grub restaurant the locals go to. After flying in and tired, I took a hot shower to freshen and was happy to just walk to dinner and a beer versus more driving! Plus it’s a local joint with no pretentious, with friendly chatty locals. Oh, the B&B has a big dog who is used to guests and, if you scratch behind the ears, will be your friend for life. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful my partner and my stay was at Peppercorns. We absolutely loved everything about this beautiful place. The hosts, Richard and Elizabeth, are delightful and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The accommodation is set a short distance from the main house and yet you feel secluded. There is a lovely big room with an extremely comfortable bed (I had recently had a back injury and had been sleeping in a recliner but was able to sleep in the bed), a comfy lounge, large TV, DVD player, a little kitchen with dining table and chairs with a full size fridge and an immaculate bathroom with a shower. The furnishings and decorations are rustic and quaint. There are little touches everywhere both inside and out that add to the enjoyment of staying here. We had drinks in the conservatory and breakfast outside. The garden is glorious and Florence the pup was good fun and very obedient! ||||There is a hotel nearby but as it was a Saturday night so was booked out for dinner so we went to the Deep Blue café in Moana which was fabulous. I will review that separately. We saw Christmas lights after dinner and the next morning popped down to the beach. The entire experience was almost perfect. The only problem we had was trying to operate the DVD player but Richard has said he will supply easier instructions for people like us who are a little technologically challenged. ||||I thoroughly recommend this B&B to any couple who want to spend a romantic night or two away from the world and I can't wait to go back.

You couldn’t get a more peaceful location . Quiet and comfortable with great hosts -Chris and the dog ! Top class breakfast. Nice big room with plenty of space to move , clean as a whistle . Hotel five minutes walk for a lazy dinner . Excellent- we’ll be back !

Richard and Elizabeth are great hosts. The breakfast were first class with 3 options of where to eat, Inside, pergola or conservatory. The room was very well presented and the bed very comfortable. We were there for a wedding in McLaren Vale and it was only 5-10 minutes away. Can't wait to return and recommend it to anyone going that way. Thank you Richard and Elizabeth.

I don't normally give 5 starts on my reviews as there is always something that needs to be mentioned as a suggestion, but....

This place has to be the best place we have stayed at yet. The hospitality was warm and welcoming from our hosts Richard, Liz and even Flo the dog.

Booked this due to the rustic feel of the place, reminded us of the farm houses we each grew up in.
The grounds are well kept and having the pergola and the conservatory added in was truly well worth above the price.

A quick walk to the local main Street for old Noarlunga (and the pub 😜).
Only major noise you hear is from the birds happily chirping away on the grounds and trees.

Breakfast is provided as fruit, muesli, croissants or the fried up breakfast. Served with tea and coffee.

All items are rustic like the coffee cups with breakfast, the decor etc.
If you require anything, the hosts are just a few metres away by ringing a bell but you hardly see or hear from them.

All in all would highly recommend this as a parental getaway or a couples escape.

We were warm, comfortable and well fed. The room was quiet and bed cosy, the breakfast was well made and extremely well presented. Air con, plenty of bedding, a handy coat rack & we found the fridge very helpful to have. ||Additionally, Lazarus and I were treated like we were family friends; we had great conversation and plenty of laughter. We wish Richard and his family, including Flow, the very best, until next time!
