Great place to stay, we stayed 5 nights, can be deceiving choosing accommodation online but when we arrived the apartment was more than we expected. It had everything we needed & more. Mangement were welcoming & very helpful. Close to everything. The only negative some of the permeant residents were not nice, obviously they are not keen on holiday makers intruding their space.

We had a family reunion with a total of 6 adults and 5 children at this property and Michelle could not have been more helpful, she was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. We had a total of 4 apartments over the 5 weeks and everything ran perfectly. The apartments are well appointed with bus stops, shops and swimming pools. Would recommend for a family holiday, thanks Pelican Cove.

When we came from a long international we couldn’t wait to just rest. The apartment was clean and beds comfortable. The views and the grounds of this resort is amazing. Enjoyed a number of barb-bq’s over looking the water. The pools were a highlight. Didn’t get time to play the mini tennis . Accessing the Broardwater and its trails was only a 3 minute walk. 5 minutes in the other direction takes you to shopping and a series of restaurants.
The management gave us every thing we needed and made sure we are comfortable.

We had three separate two-bedroom apartments booked for a one week stay during January. Overall it wasn’t the best experience for a multitude of reasons.

Positives
- Good location and views
- Reception lady was very nice when initially checking in
- Good facilities (until pool incident, see below)

Negatives
There was dog/cat poo by the pool with about 20 flies on it - see photo. A maintenance/caretaker person was notified, he went to have a look but no immediate action was taken. Instead, we were met with a bit of rudeness (foul comments) and a sense of inconvenience. About half an hour later he finally proceeded to clean it with a pan and broom. Shockingly a member of our group watched as he went on to rinse the broom in the pool water. This is disgusting and we stopped using the pool for the rest of our stay. This was a huge disappointment for our children.

In terms of the apartments itself, all three were tired looking and generally not well maintained/cleaned. Some things to note were:
• Leaks in main bathroom causing floors to be wet after using the shower
• Broken glass found on bedroom floor
• Rusty nail underneath kitchen table
• Sticky kitchen benches with greasy utensils including mugs, plates, cutlery etc
• Uncomfortable thin mattress in one main bedroom with squeaky bed frame
• 4-5 dining chairs sagged in which made it uncomfortable to sit on
• Ensuite toilet leaking 24/7
• Clogged sink and leaking shower with weak water pressure
• Slow and unstable WiFi (un-usable)

My family and I had a fabulous 2 weeks at Pelican Cove.
Michelle and Jess are super friendly and accommodating.
Accommodation was great. Apartment 53 overlooking pool and water views.
Would stay again anytime we venture from colder Tassie ❤️

Literally the filthiest set of apartments I have ever come across. I’m gobsmacked at how dirty the floors, sofas and furniture are and oh my God the windows are smears of handprints and oils! I use a towel to open everything!

There’s fingerprints on every surface and it is clear nothing gets properly cleaned, if st all. Plugs don’t hold water, grime in the cupboards, dirt and hair caught up in corners and doorways. We had to sweep the floors ourselves!

Handles on all drawers and doors were filthy with finger marks. Beds were so hard, squeaky and springs pushed into our hips and our bedroom door couldn’t even shut because the bed frame was in the way. So much doesn’t even work such as the TV - you can’t even get a decent station and no Netflix or any option but a remote that says Foxtel but nothing works. And then the remotes have no batteries!! Unbelievable. Lights don’t work. I cannot believe that place.

We went from our friends’ apartment at night to get up to our apartment and our key wouldn’t even unlock the shut stairwell door. If we didn’t have friends there we would have been locked out all night! Luckily our friends let us down into their stairwell basement to walk to the internal carpark door and up through carpark to our apartment. Absolutely ridiculous. It’s hard to imagine anywhere worse than here.

We only stayed here because we were meeting family but never, ever again. I felt dirty just being here. I went home and washed everything. Absolutely disgusting.

You can get better deals in an Airbnb and a much better level of stay. Anything anywhere would be cleaner than this.

This accommodation was obviously very nice when first built. The location and service were great. A close by cafe at L'Etranger's meant there was great food and coffee available easily. The apartment itself was dated and the furniture had a well used feel. Bedding was light on and when the extra blankets were accessed they were dirty or stained. Reception were more than responsive to sorting this out along with the leaking toilet. I would stay here again but would know that I was lowering my expectations to enjoy it. A great option at the right price.

My family really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in a self-contained 2brm, 2 bathroom room which had everything we needed to be comfortable. The kitchen was a good size with plenty of cooking items, crockery etc. We slept well in the comfortable beds. I liked how there was a washing machine and dryer also. The hotel is in a great location with a bus stop close by, shops just 5 minutes walk down the road and 1 block back from the beach. The heated pool was nice to swim in and I loved the pontoon going out to the river. We had a couple of small problems in our room which were dealt with swiftly by the very friendly and helpful staff at reception. We will stay here again next time we come to the Gold Coast for holidays.
