Stayed here for work.
Toilet was filthy,fridge did not work and plumbing leaked from bathroom sink until
Large puddle in middle of bathroom door.
Of course reception not manned after 6pm.
Got changed to another room following night after making complaint.
This room not much better, still shower over filthy old bath. Fan in bathroom made horrendous noise but no light without turning it on. Sure people next door cursed me when I had to have shower at 5.30am to head to work.
The place needs a full refurbishment or demolishing. If I had been here on personal trip I would have checked out immediately and demanded a full refund.

We stayed at Parklane last weekend, 15-17th March 2025. The motel room was spacious and tired but comfortable. The plumbing badly needs updating. My arthritic hands struggled to turn taps on and off. The worst and most uncomfortable aspect of our stay was the road works that happened right outside our window all night from 7pm to 7 am. The noise was horrific, drilling, crashing and banging all night on Brisbane St. We could hear everything the workers said as the room had no soundproofing and we were only 3 metres away from all the noise and the flashing yellow light. There is no one onsite staff person overnight and so we had no opportunity to move to another room. It was extremely uncomfortable and made for very uncomfortable travelling the next day when we were so very weary
If there was someone on staff overnight, what a shame they didn't offer to move us…..they would have known how loud it was in unit 1. I am disappointed this didn’t happen. We understood that there was no one on site after 5 pm

Our room didn't have working wifi. 12 hours after we complained we just got a reply saying what the password was ... which wasn't working and that what I'd already said to them . The room didn't have air-conditioning. The water was so disgusting we couldn't shower or bath .. when I let the bath out it was complete rust.

Basic older-style motel, clean enough (but I'm sure I could smell some remnants of stale cigarette smoke). This place is well overdue for a refresh. Ducted aircon in our room wasn't effective & we couldn't leave the window open because of the traffic noise from busy Brisbane Street right outside our room. Access is via a very, very steep street, but easy walk into town.

Mold, rust, hair in the shower, ants. Bed clean but not comfortable, location is good and you can park on site. Rooms nothing like pictures. Disappointed for the price.

Room was clean and cosy. Receptionists was quite helpful in arranging extra keys in emergency. Great location. Overall its value for money

This hotel is an old designed motel. It is near to the city and some of the units are in front of the road. If you are sensitive to noises, then you have to book units behind the rows. The motel designed is inconvenience for wheelchair or elderly guests. No lift service s.

I enjoyed our stay more than my wife. I tolerated the super soft bed, she did not sleep well at all as result. We are accustomed to a firm mattress at home, this bed in the Parklane can do with renewal. Besides the bed, the room was great. Rare to find a table for 2 & matching 2 chairs. Plates, bowls, cutlery provided. Tea, coffee etc as expected. The room was super quiet. Not a single noise all night. Shower is over the bath and was temperamental. Had a hot shower all the same. Car parks are all steeply inclined. Ensure that you are good at parking on a hill, reverse park strongly advised due to the nature of the exit. Ensure your handbrake is fully functional.
