Nice view of mountains near Port Douglas from a fairly flat Queensland resort course. Nice layout but conditions were a little furry including mixed grass types on some of the greens. I get that it's at a holiday destination so prices are higher, but green fees were more than is reasonable for the conditions. Access next to a gated community.

Very challenging course to play, probably harder than it needs to be. Greens are ridiculous. It was a shame really as the course is well maintained and the grass is lovely to play on. but unfortunately we will not go back and play it again.

My wife and I played this course on a recent long weekend in Port Douglas (July 24) and had a ball. On the trip we played the Mirage and the Sea Reef. They’re both fun courses with welcoming staff and a relaxed vibe. If I had to pick a favorite it would be this one though. Simply because it offered a lot more challenge. The course was presented in good order. A few bunkers were staked and out of play but the vast majority were in play. The grass cover on the fairways, the greens and around the greens was terrific. Club house staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Although most of the locals were way older than us, they all took time to have a chat and made us feel welcome at their club. Would definitely go back and play again if I was holidaying up here. The only thing to bear in mind is that this is a championship course. It’s not easy. If you’re a complete hacker, just starting out or want somewhere to take the kids for a muck around and a hit, I wouldn’t come here. Try the Mirage just up the road instead. As for price it’s more expensive than Mirage, but you get what you pay for and I felt it was decent value compared to other similar courses I’ve played here in Oz. Final note, try the burger at club house. It was worth the calories!

Quiet and peaceful golf course with a great view. The staff is welcoming. Enjoyed 9hole play during our stay in Port Douglas. Want to play 18holes in the next visit.

I played this course 18/04/2024 and payed $175 to play 18 holes. After a lot of rain preceding my game the course stood up quite well. However forgetting the rain, every green on the course was deplorable, weeds growing all over the green, greens having been cored, impossible to putt truly, cups were furry like they hadn’t been moved for weeks. Pro shop looked like they were getting ready to move out, seemed like the whole place was losing money ready to close up.

Good place
In the higher price range
I enjoyed myself
The lady in the pro shop was excellent, really accommodating and had everything I needed ready to go
Pretty relaxed golf course which surprised me, usually with the price they become more strict, however they even said my daughter could ride along with me if she wanted.

Beautiful golf course with really lovely staff. We really enjoyed our day on the course with beautiful local plants maintained to perfection surrounding the course and especially the icy cold beer on tap after our game. I cannot really fault this place apart from it is quite dated inside the clubhouse Which is a shame because if it were more modern it would be the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon.

Recently cored and sanded and still weeds in them. Didn’t mention when booking was made about this.
