The pool was amazing, both of them in terms of atmosphere and temp. The hotel looks great from the outside and near the pool, however, The room needs some renovation and upgrades. As well as the hallways and elevators, especially at night with all the bugs and lizards crawling on the walls. Some more general room equipment like cups, drinking water etc is definitely needed.

The pool is beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, the room was very basic; no air conditioning, smart TV or restaurant / room service. The location is a little isolated so it would have been nice to have a restaurant / breakfast at the hotel. This was advertised as a 4 star hotel, I would say it’s closer to 2-3 stars.

Good value for money!

We had a nice stay in Palm Royale Cairns. The room was big and everything was clean. We were surprised about the fact that this is more of a Motel with a nice pool. We didn’t really care about this but still good to know before you book your stay. Staff was really kind.

The only downside for us was the street noise in the room. Our room was next to the road. The noise was really loud in our room. We had the feeling that the door was even open. This was annoying for us. But I think that it is only a problem for the rooms next to that busy street.

Judging from the bad reviews, it makes a huge difference whether you have a view of the pool or the highway side. We had a view of the pool. Apart from the occasional nuisance from the neighbours (the walls are quite thin), our stay was very calm and quiet. Cleaning was done every day. The staff did not say much, which is perfect fine. Don't expect too much from the neighbourhood nearby or rent a car to get closer to the center during the day and you'll be ok.

I recently stayed at the Palm Royal Cairns Hotel and was disappointed with the service. The receptionist was quite rude and unhelpful. When I asked for water, she simply pointed in a vague direction without any further assistance, and there was no water available. This lack of basic hospitality was frustrating. The hotel itself has potential, but the service needs significant improvement. Not happy with my experience.

Located in a short drive from city. Beautiful place with lot of trees and nice pool. Great condition rooms with everyday room services. Also got a commercial laundry inside. Recommended.!

Staff on reception friendly and helpful especially Agand. Beds comfortable, rooms a good size with air con. Pleasant sea water pool. Just pity no breakfast but a Woolworths within walking distance. A perfectly pleasant stay good value.

Overall this is a nice place. Rooms are clean. There is a pool but some staff members are rude. Some staff members are really nice too. The asian origin staff at reception was rude for no reason. It is little far from the city/cbd but there is a mall close by.
