Absolutely incredible!
We had the perfect experience at Outback Astronomy!
From arrival we were welcomed at the door with complimentary hot chocolates (Easter special).
Shown to our recliner seats and set up with our audio headsets and binoculars.
The sky show started and our guide had sooo much knowledge about the stars and out of space/ constellations etc. she used her laser to guide us where to look.
It was magnificent and brought me to tears a couple times! We had the chance to get up and see different nebulas/ stars/ moon via their telescopes. We did take our 6&7 year olds which by half way through fell asleep😂 Not because they were bored but because how warm of a night we had and how comfortable the chairs were!
It’s a beautiful atmosphere with everyone eager to see and learn about the stars/ out of space!
Will definitely do this again when we visit next! Thank you for a lovely night!

My partner, friend and I had a beautiful experience at outback astronomy in Broken Hill. We attended the Discover the Moon session and were amazed by the knowledge and passion shared by Linda and Travis. It wouldn't have been possible without the uninterrupted night sky and serenity that can only be found on country far from the light pollution and traffic. This is a special experience that I will definitely travel back for. Outback astronomy will definitely spark an interest in the sky that you might not have had before 🧡🌞🌕

Wonderful experience, the darkening sky above us, lying in a chaise longue, listening to expert commentary and analysis of the stars and planets above us, spying on details with binoculars and telescope, the Milky Way, planets, star formations - their European and Aboriginal interpretations. Really recommend this.

We only had 3 days in Broken Hill but were delighted that there was a show available. We went for the full food package and we both thought the food was fantastic and that we wouldn’t finish it as there was so much. The presenter Linda was so knowledgeable and could really explain the complexity of the night sky clearly. It was cold but we had rugged up as advised and there were sleeping bags provided. A nice touch. We really loved this experience and would highly recommend it!

We really enjoyed our night star gazing with Outback Astronomy. It was a cold night so we opted for the recliners with sleeping bags and that was a very good move. We were toasty and warm in our sleeping bags and it was nice to recline and watch the stars. The hot chocolate was a hit with my daughter too. We both learnt a lot and had a great night. Highly recommend.
