Romantic room in a tropical paradise with everything you need. ||Lovely little B and B with charming furnishings and a beautiful deck that overlooks rainforest gardens. Tropical bird viewing is great from the deck and it’s a lovely place to drink your complimentary tea and coffee. ||A generous continental breakfast is supplied with fruit, bread, yoghurt, pastries and juice. ||Apartment has own entrance and separate bathroom and is very private. ||Perfect for a romantic get away!

If you want a location that's unique, and I mean unique, then Oskar's is the place for you. Like a little piece of your own private rain forest with wildlife all around. Everything is a little different in a wonderful way which makes this place a must stay. It's five stars because it is totally different from anywhere I've stayed, not overly comfortable it has to be said, but, everything else from the decor, the outside deck in the treeline and it's ambience is top of its class. Will definitely visit and stay again.

Oskar's Rainforest Retreat was absolutely lovely. The room and views were beautiful and the owners were very accommodating. We were provided fantastic breakfasts each morning with fresh fruit. I would absolutely go again and I recommend to anyone wanting to stay at Nelly Bay on Magnetic Island.

the room is connected to the owners house but still secluded. The breakfast we had was cut up fresh fruit, little yoghurts, muffins, bread to toast, jam and butter... absolutely perfect for us. The birdlife just infront of you is amazing. The hostess welcoming and informative. We had two days, with the worst rain in years ever, but made the best of it. Love the place, would love to visit again without the rain 😉

When we arrived at Oskar's and were shown the room, we were amazed. Very spacious, seperate bath room, clean. The terrace overlooks the rainforest and wildlife. Wallabies come nibble on treats on the deck bellow and you litterally feel you in the rainforest with all the birdlife. Breakfast is a real treat, put in the fridge in the room so you can get up anytime and just have it out on the terrace. Fresh fruit every day. Perfect spot to find rest and go visit Magnetic Island.

Oskar's is most suitable for those seeking a comfortable place to stay, but beware the noise of 'nature' at pre-dawn and sunrise to welcome in a new day. View on the back balcony is nice and the place sits among a lovely setting. Room has all the essentials for a short stay, which is connected to the main house. Accommodation caters for smokers. Tropical fruit platter and basics are ready in the fridge for your breakfast. Oskar's is a short drive from the ferry terminal, though parking is on a cul-de-sac.

OMG!....this was the perfect tropical experience for our anniversary. I felt like I was in dreamworld with the gorgeous layout, breakfast and amazing bird life. The host’s attention to detail was superb and made the stay extra special. This is the best accommodation for those who want the tropical island experience rather than the sterile, generic hotel experience which leaves u empty of exotic experience. Debbie and her hubby are extra special and looked after us with sincere generosity....clearly they love making the experience for their guests as best as possible. We will be back for sure!

We decided on a detour of a few days to Magnetic island and booked Oscar's as a last minute idea.||Next time, Oscar's and The island will be a destination.||The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac and the back of the house gives way to forested slopes and jungle.you have great privacy and space, while having a 24 hour show from the local stars... wallabies come to nibble on the deck below. While a family of sulphur-crested cockatoos and a large flock of lorakeets come to visit.||The room itself was huge, very comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast is copious and delicious (lots of fresh local fruit, etc) and our hostess knew all the secrets of the island, including on exactly where to go see koalas in the wild.||Definitely worth a trip rather than a detour.
