Ocean view apartment was fantastic. All the things you need. Bed was comfy. Getting in and out of shower was challenging. The manager had to fix a couple of things (missing tumble dryer and toaster that shorted electricity sockets) which he did swiftly and with a minimum of fuss. Location however is terrible. Hotel is at the top of a near vertical long road. We like to walk out but couldn't here.

During our stay we were shocked to find four cockroaches in the bathroom in the middle of the night. We had to kill two of them and block the drain, fearing others might be hiding there. This was not only disgusting but left us with no sleep, as we spent the rest of the night feeling unsettled and unable to relax.

Despite being told the property conducts annual pest control, the experience was still extremely unpleasant, and the response to our complaint was lackluster. We were informed that humidity from recent storms might have caused the issue, but that explanation didn’t make up for the discomfort and inconvenience we faced.

While the location was convenient and the staff polite, the lack of resolution or any form of compensation makes it hard to recommend this property, especially given the standard it claims to uphold.

Oshen sits on top of a hill. Not all rooms face the east where the ocean is, some face slightly off (maybe 1/3 ocean view), some are actually city facing so please request for a good view if you can. Good view does come with ocean winds, so be prepared for the howling winds on high surf days. The staff are great, we met Fiona and Lynette. Our team is coming back in a month, and Fiona was nice to block out the dates while we process our company travel portal for the booking.||They have a full kitchen: Oven, stove, hob, kettle, toaster, coffee pod machine (although I did not get one), washing machine with dryer, ironing board, all cooking utensils and cutlery, and a big fridge (by hotel standards). The supermarket and all shops/restaurants/cafe are just a walk down the hill (100m away). ||Not all the rooms are balcony + hall/kitchen + bedroom sized. Some are basic business hotel sized, with twin bed covering 2/3 of space, but they are much cheaper. So if you don’t mind walking just a bit towards the beach and sit there with your wine and cheese, Yeppoon is a sleepy town.||I highly recommend Oshen Apartments. We are definitely coming back, whether for business or pleasure.

Listen carefully Oshen is on the top of a hill. If you love walking up hill it’s perfect. If you don’t take note.
That said it’s a lovely place. Tidy rooms, great people friendly. Great views. I liked it. Solo traveller. No photos.

We had excellent views, and enjoyed our stay.
We did have issues with the wifi, as it wouldn't stay connected and we couldn't get the main television in the lounge room to connect either

Purely booked the hotel room for the spa bath only to run the water and the spa bath doesn't work. No towels on arrival were in the room.
Told management about the spa not working and was pretty much told too bad. After spending the amount I did and travelling 8hrs I am very unhappy with the service

It’s a nice place to visit away from the crowds of say Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast and only a 90 minute flight from Brisbane to Rockhampton, with a 40 minute drive to Yeppoon.

Apartment was beautiful and spacious and the view made everything 10x better but the location of this place is not ideal. It’s up this massive hill so you can’t walk anywhere from the hotel and the car park is not build for 4WD cars so you have to do a 6 point turn to get into a park. I would stay here again but just bring a smaller car.
