As out-of-town contractors, we felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after by the team at O'Shea's Royal Hotel. From the friendly and attentive bar staff to the warm, professional room attendants each morning, the service was consistently top-notch. We were comfortable throughout our stay and truly enjoyed the experience.

We tried every motel in town, then came back to this hotel after first saying no to shared bathroom, but what a surprise. Rooms are excellent and the shared facilities perfect. Pub meal was great. Will come back next time as our first choice in town.

We had dinner at this hotel, right on the main street in the middle of town. The food was good pub food, but the room exceptionally noisy. The menu was comprehensive. I had tempura coated coral trout from the specials board, which was OK, if a bit too greasy for my liking

Wasn’t a good experience, we paid for a room with an ensuite but received a room with no ensuite and we had to use the shared bathroom which was disappointing when we paid for something else. Me and my brother had seafood and we both got sick with food poisoning. He woke up needing to vomit and his vision blurry and nearly passed out on his way to the bathroom. There was music playing from the pub very early in the morning and it could be heard from the hotel room and drunk people came into the hallways and were making a lot of noise and were being obnoxious, I think they were staying in the hotel but they were yelling in the hallways nonetheless. I wouldn’t recommend

Terrible. Avoid at all costs. There are other pubs in town.
They sell stale old beer. Tastes terrible. I let staff know and their reply was “ok”.
Not oh sorry. Can we fix that.
Pay a fortune for bad beer. Avoid!!!!

This beautiful old pub has been well preserved since its founding in 1888. The staff were friendly and ensured we had a relaxing drink in the old public bar. Even the old light fittings were still visible. The selection of beers on tap was also very good

Have been out here for over a week have had a few good couple of nights but it seems to be on the Friday nights when they seem to get the backpackers in or a lot more staff that the quality and quantity and service seems to drop off as I hadn’t eaten breakfast and only had a small lunch I was quite hungry and thought I would order two of the specials and in saying that if I didn’t eat them all, I would’ve got a doggy bag to gothat I know that are quite on the small side as it was only a fish and roast as I ordered it and they knew that I was by myself. I felt that I was quite embarrassed from the staff as they were laughing and giving me Bad vibes especially when the food was handed to the table. I had two of the other staff member At me as there was no one else in the food Bistro and this made me feel quite uncomfortable and remorse so if you like to eat your food or like to enjoy some of your food probably don’t eat here as you will feel quite intimidated and embarrassed from the staff. I give them a -10.

Stayed here recently and loved it. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Service was amazing, staff sent courtesy bus out to the airport to get us and brought us back the next morning. This was above and beyond what we expected of them.
Pub was great too, nice atmosphere and good variety of drinks to choose from. Will definitely be coming back.
