What a fabulous time we had. Orpheus Island Lodge delivered so many wonderful experiences to suit our situation. The level of service and attention to detail was exceptional. The food divine. The staff friendly and professional no matter whether we were dining or snorkelling! It really is a luxury escape which satisfies either the need to be active and enjoy water activities, or just to relax by the pool and read a great book. Would we return - absolutely and with a huge grin on our faces! But did I mention the bonus? We saw whales and dolphins on our trip to the local jetty to have a picnic and snorkel using our privately provided boat. A true island paradise which we will be recommending wholeheartedly to our family and friends. A huge thanks to everyone who looked after us so beautifully. Cheers.

It’s hard to describe how wonderful Orpheus Island Lodge is. From the moment you arrive and are welcomed with a glass of champagne it feels like an incredibly special place. The staff are all excellent and very friendly and the food is amazing at every meal. The lodge is extremely well managed and the manager Chrissie is always present and hands on which we feel is a very good sign. |We rarely say that we would love to return to a destination but we definitely would love to return to Orpheus Island Lodge.

Wonderful experience from the helicopter ride over, to the relaxed Island Vibes of the resort. I think it really show cases a lot of what Australia is and has to offer (natural beauty). It really felt like we were on a luxury deserted island. Very friendly and accommodating staff, all inclusive holiday which means there is no need to carry anything with you. Just relax, watch the wild life and in the afternoon sit by the fire pit watching the sun disappear across the water!

We hesitate to write this review, because small crowds are part of the allure! ||We just finished a five night stay at Orpheus - our thirtieth anniversary celebration. We had travelled almost 12,000 miles to get there. ||The staff of Orpheus change with time, but the quality of the experience remains unsurpassed. Foodies love the food; I was more impressed with the overall experience. Dining with the Tides, for example, is a celebratory romantic meal that can hardly be surpassed. ||We wish we remembered everyone’s name - I’m sorry, we don’t - but we’re sending our gratitude to Chrissy, Nicole, Hayden, Ben, Ash, Gabriella, Mathilde, and our friend from Vancouver. We realize that there were many others who made this work behind the scenes, and we enjoyed our time at the spa today.||With a guest max count of about 28, it’s fun to make new friends- but you don’t have to. | |In summary, we can’t say enough - this is our highest recommendation.

Had a wonderful time. Staff were so lovely and efficient and the food was delicious. The place was amazing. We went deep sea fishing, snorkelling, paddle boarding, kayaking and walked across the island. Lots to do if you really want to keep busy or just lie back and enjoy the ambience. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Be cautious when booking at this resort. We prebooked and paid over $3,000 deposit and were hoping we could make it to celebrate the end of my husband's bowel cancer treatment. Unfortunately his chemotherapy he is currently undergoing has not been as responsive as hoped and he will not have finished treatment by the booked date. After enduring invasive surgery before the chemo a holiday would have been a much needed treat for what has been the hardest year ever for our family.

We have spoken to management regarding the situation and they don't care, if we are unable to make the booking date the deposit of over $3,000 is retained by the resort. Such a disappointment that no empathy is shown by the business, obviously dollars are the main driver.

The PERFECT holiday. I’m not sure we could visit again for fear it couldn’t be better than it was. The staff were amazing! All the activities were fantastic - including our self-guided tour in the motorised boat to the giant clam garden (an absolute must). SUP boarding above the stingrays was incredible and following a reef shark in the canoes through the mangroves was magical for us. The food was divine - and the private dining on the jetty above the reef sharks was unforgettable! This resort is really special and was a holiday we didn’t need a holiday to recover from. We LOVED every minute of the week we were there.
