We had a 2 bed villa (parents and adult daughter) with large veranda and views across the rain forest towards mountains. The villa was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We went for several hikes enjoying all of them. We ate in the bar and had a few drinks which just added to the experience. The bird life was fun to watch and the parrots were very friendly. We would love to come back when we are next in Brisbane.

Winding down the window at the first pocket of rainforest on the drive up, beginning to feel you've become a part of the forest, senses awakened, alive!|Waking to the sights and sounds of the rainforest birds with the most incredible view right from my balcony, or even my comfortable warm bed... Watching the stars appear in the night sky after the golden glow of sunset fades away...It doesn't get much better than this!|This was the perfect recharge to begin the year, whilst also celebrating a special birthday while we were here. ||Our dining experience delivered variety and wholesome goodness, having to make the tough choice of dessert or entree to have with our mains, with the meals substantially filling, there would not have been room for all 3 courses! Super fresh and tasty, with the ambiance of the dining room, and the great table service making for a very satisfying night. Pretty tasty pizza from the Sunset Bar on another night also.||Very knowledgeable guides on both the 4x4 tour of O'Reilly's, and the guided walk, with each of them sharing snippets of info about the rainforest plants and animals, and the O'Reilly's area. So glad to have gone on both of these tours.||To experience hiking with the Rainforest right on the doorstep was something pretty special. Lazy afternoon reading and relaxing. The icing on the cake, having a dip in the infinity pool, even if it was a bit chilly. Incredible experience! We will return.| Thank you.

Stayed at the Villa in September, and it was absolutely amazing. Let me first cover a few minor negatives.

* The road up the mountain is a constant work in progress. Take caution going up and down.
* In the villas there was no way to deadlock the door from the inside, so if you have little children there is no way to prevent them from just walking out.
* Some of the activities are a bit average and not worth spending money on.

The positives:
* On arrival there is a manager's welcome every afternoon going through the rich history of the site which is very interesting, and a big plus is that it has complimentary champagne.
* The rain forest is absolutely beautiful to take up to with a lot of different tracks to walk of varying lengths and difficulty.
* The buffet breakfast is one of the best I've experienced and that includes some 5 star hotel offerings, which also includes complimentary sparkling wine.
* The villas were completely self sufficient, pleasant spa that can fit 2-3 adults comfortably, with extremely comfortable beds. Was very clean and tidy.
* The whole experience is very enjoyable with plenty of birds and animals to see.
I could go on and on, but I highly recommend giving this place your time and consideration to visit.

We recently stayed at campsite 14 for our first experience at this location, and we really enjoyed it. The area was beautiful, and the cleanliness of the kitchen and toilets was impressive. The temperature dropped quickly in the late afternoon, but thankfully, we had been advised by reception to bring warm clothing.||The only downside was that campsite 14 was close to the kitchen access track, which got quite noisy during dining hours. Other than that, everything was great! I would definitely recommend this place, and next time, I’ll book a site a bit further from the kitchen and firepit.

Lived on the Coast for 40yrs before finally making the trip up to O’Reillys. Stayed in a villa with a spa on the deck. Wonderful, romantic spot. Nice restaurant and bar. Plenty of walking trails, great views and abundance of nature. Can recommend stopping in at O’Reillys winery on the way up, do some tasting and grab some wine for the stay.

My husband, sister and I stopped at O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat between the 19th and 22nd October. There is lots to recommend it - a beautiful location, great walks, an interesting history and spacious bedrooms with nice balconies.|||| However the whole experience was marred by our 'celebratory meal' on our final night in the main dining roo, We booked for 7pm, and were shown promptly to our table. My sister, a vegetarian opted for a main course and dessert while my husband and I had a starter and main course. Our order was taken by a waiter who we never saw again. And then we waited and waited for our food. You could tell there were problems in the kitchen because apologies were being given to those around us as food was served, but after 45 minutes we were getting frustrated. Catching a waitresses eye after 50 mniutes wait, she asked us at what stage we were with the meal and was visibly shocked we'd not had starters. She came back to our table to just check, she said, what we'd ordered (obviously somehow our order had got lost somehow). At this stage after waiting an hour for any food we asked if my sisters main course could come out at the same time as our starters. Starters did came out fairly promptly after that - pretty mediocre food but food nevertheless after over an hour of waiting but no main course for my sister. As we finished our starters, her main course of zucchini arrived - the zucchini was completely raw and had to be sent back. She opted for the only other choice for vegetarians as an alternative - the pizza which arrived as we finished our main course. Again the pizza was undercooked. (we'd had a much nicer one in the bar at O'reilly's the night before) and she ate half. Her pudding was served in an almost completely deserted restaurant just after 9pm. ||||This was a really unpleasant meal in every respect - we never got to eat together at the same time and we were all angry by the whole experience. We just wanted to escape the restaurant that evening but I complained the following morning and was told there was no manager to speak to on duty at 8am and that a feedback form would be sent to me so I could complain. That never arrived and so I wrote in three days later using their web form - no response and so, did so again a few days after that. Again, total silence. I then phoned initially being told by Reception that Martin from Dining and Beverages would get back to me - which he didn't and then being put through to his phone and leaving a message the second time I contacted O'Reilly's. At this point I received a very perfunctory email saying there were logistical problems for the hotel ( I understand this but my issues were over the service and the quality of the cooking) and he apologised for the wait. No real explanation of why our experience was so awful. ||||I have suggested that my sister at the very least should have a refund for the meal - again complete silence in return. O'Reilly may chose to ignore customer feedback but they really shouldn't. We're from the UK and had a fantastic time in Australia over 5 weeks, and ate out frequently. The food was wonderful apart from this particular meal which was truly bad in all respects and with no true customer care or response to our complaints afterwards. It will be really interesting to see if I get a response back from Management at O'Reilly's which is why I've written at length. based on experience to date, I expect not though.

I went to O’Reilly’s day spa to have an all inclusive spa experience. The view is absolutely amazing from every part of the spa. You get your own comfy robe and rubber slippers. I was taken care of the entire time I was there. Absolutely will be back again and hopefully with a stay on top as well.
