The reception staff appeared to wish they were somewhere other than at work - the job was done, but without any interest or enthusiasm.
My "ocean view" room did have a view of the ocean, but only over a sea of roofs.
The food in the restaurant was mediocre at best.
The best part of the stay was the sound of the waves on the beach.
Not somewhere I'd rush back to.

Got food from here 2 days ago, My friends had calamari and all got food poisoning. I didn’t have any luckily and was fine. My other friend got sweet potato fries which came out burnt and then when he asked for non black ones they came out uncooked. Sack the chef. Later to my dismay, I found out that my work has also booked this place for us to stay Friday night. The stay is as bad as the food. Dated rooms, The most uncomfortable single mattress I’ve ever stayed on with awful pillows. Why is the bed on wheels? is this a hospital? You turn on your side and it moves. Bar closes at 8:30 on a friday, surely you’d think it would stay open So I could drink myself into enough of a state I could fall asleep on these torture devices.

We were driving from Nth Brisbane to Sydney it was close to midnight, and we were tired after a tumultuous week.
We didn't have a booking. I called the Opal Cove Resort, Melissa answered the phone and was so helpful and happy to provide directions on how to find them from our current location.
When we arrived, the entrance was amazingly clean and serenely beautiful.
We booked a garden room for the night, but were surprised with an upgrade to a ocean view room. We also booked breakfast in.
The room was amazing ?
Very spacious for the two of us. The room even had a bath, not that we had time to relax in it, definitely next time though. The shower was incredible with such great muscle relaxing pressure.
The bed felt like what I would imagine sleeping on clouds would feel like.
The sunrise over the ocean from our balcony, was stunning!
We went downstairs for breakfast, we were blown away from all of the options available. The food looked as wonderful as it tasted. The auto coffee bean machine made fantastic coffee, as I drink mine black without sugar, I can always taste if the beans are burnt or bitter, but this coffee was warm and smooth. So I indulged with a 2nd cup.
On our way back up stairs we noticed the games room, which I think even big kids would enjoy some time in.
All up what a great experience, I will definitely visit again.
Thank you Melissa and the morning staff.

Stayed here for a conference. Top notch food, excellent views from the conference room, great for those boring bits! Whales breaching- how good is that. Easy access to the beach, offering great coastal views. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice place. When booking ocean side upgrade some rooms have views of apartments. Recommend booking rooms 400-420. All others are not worth paying for the upgrade |Buffet breakfast is good and pool is nice |Very pretty beach, walking distance from hotel

We stayed for a single night. Our room was clean but it and the rest of the facilities are very dated and show a lot of wear and tear. The staff were fantastic and the food was great.

Probably the biggest negative was that we went in winter and the main pool wasn't heated (it was freezing!) The only place warm enough to go in the water was the spa pool and it ended up full of people who were wanting to swim but didn't have any other options that weren't chilly.

Rather salubrious foyer but that is where the luxury ended.|Pleasant room, bathroom outdated & needed a good clean. Nice views from the balcony. Suggest replacing towels, very much used & greyish in colour. Wouldn’t book a longish stay, okay for overnight accommodation.

The service we encountered was truly unsatisfactory. We had booked seven rooms, and it was hard to believe how poorly the housekeeping staff was managed. No one seemed to have a clear understanding of what was going on.

None of the managers could offer any insight. The rooms were left uncleaned, and even the used towels were not removed. After several complaints, one manager called to inform me that the housekeeping manager had confirmed the rooms would be cleaned. However, when I returned in the evening, I was shocked to find that the situation remained unchanged.

I strongly recommend avoiding this place and saving your money.
